When we jump into story-driven games, especially ones built around mystery, betrayal, and larger-than-life characters, there is always one question sitting in the back of our minds: where is all of this leading? And when the name James Bond is attached to the experience, speculation about a 007 First Light sequel becomes impossible to avoid.
After all, 007 First Light feels less like a one-off adventure and more like the beginning of a much larger espionage saga. So naturally, the biggest question now is simple: will 007 First Light get a sequel?

007 First Light Ending Teases A Sequel
Yes, there will be a sequel to 007 First Light, as this game serves as the origin story of the new James Bond in a potential trilogy.
Before the ending of 007 First Light, Bond almost drowns with the villain Damien Webb. This is when Roth, the French agent, dives in to retrieve the core of THEIA that Damien was trying to steal. Although she dives in again to save 007, Roth ultimately betrays Bond and leaves with all the MI6 data in that core.
After the events of MI6 infiltrations, Bond and M meet at Greenway’s grave. That is where Bond says that it is not over yet. This potentially points to capturing THEIA or eliminating further issues that come with it. With most of the primary characters in 007 First Light alive and in charge, it is obvious that M and Bond could go after the client who sent Isola.
To confirm this, M also gives Bond his first ID card. Soon after, he gives us that classic 007 smirk, and the James Bond theme plays. After the bullet hole pose sequence ends, a black screen appears. This is where a white text appears saying, “JAMES BOND WILL RETURN“.
Studio boss Hakan Abrak has already expressed his ambitions for the franchise. IOI has confirmed that they want to turn the James Bond franchise into a major trilogy. With the new James Bond origin story out of the way, with some amazing 007 First Light missions, we can expect the sequel in the near future.
