What Happens at the 007 First Light Ending?
The beginning of the ending starts from the moment Bond and Greenway find out that 009 was not the main villain of 007 First Light. Instead, it was Sir Nicholas Webb and his son Damien all along. That is when both of them go after Damien in Vietnam. There, Greenway dies while Damien survives after falling off a building.

Bond gangs up with Roth and infiltrates Webb’s R&D facility in Antarctica. Roth kills Nicholas Webb and tries to run with the HYPERION core after betraying Bond. Bond still catches her before the 007 First Light ending. After that, HYPERION is destroyed.

At the MI6 prison, Damien comes with his army and tries to steal THEIA’s core. THEIA is the first quantum computer that was used to create HYPERION. It is also the computer that fed wrong intel to MI6 for years, which the Webbs tried covering up.
Bond and Damien go into a battle. After using all the 007 First Light gadgets, Bond grabs Damien, and both end up drowned in the water. The water shuts down Damien’s mech suit, and Roth comes to steal THEIA’s core. After almost betraying Bond again, Roth goes back into the water, saving James.

Roth is revealed to be working with a foreign client and not exactly French intel, which is why she leaves with THEIA. In the cemetery at Greenway’s grave, Bond and M talk about the job not being over. M offers him to officially join the 00 programme with the 001 agent number. James Bond prefers 007, and the classic Bond theme plays.
After that, a black screen appears, saying “JAMES BOND WILL RETURN”. This ending confirms that Bond will return in a 007 First Light sequel.
