When Is Thanos Coming to Marvel Rivals?

Marvel Rivals not only features popular Marvel heroes but also infamous villains from the comic universe. Following the arrival of antagonists like Hela and Ultron, fans have been eagerly awaiting Thanos to make his debut in Marvel Rivals. That day is coming soon, as NetEase Games is currently delivering new content inspired by Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame for Season 10.5. So, here is when Thanos is coming to Marvel Rivals.

Marvel Rivals Thanos Release Date

Yes, Thanos is coming to the game in Marvel Rivals Season 10.5, but not as a playable character. As revealed in the latest Marvel Rivals Dev Vision Vol. 22, Thanos is being added as the main boss in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame PvE mode. So, Thanos is coming to Marvel Rivals on October 22, 2026, at 9 AM UTC, as part of the Path to Doomsday event.

GuangGuang, the creative director of Marvel Rivals, confirmed that 50 players will join forces to fight Thanos and his army in the upcoming PvE mode. Earlier, the developers came up with an Ultron boss fight in Marvel Rivals’ Avengers: Age of Ultron PvE mode. So, players can expect a similar boss battle featuring Thanos in the Endgame PvE mode.

Will Thanos Be a Playable Character in Marvel Rivals in the Future?

The leaked Marvel Rivals character list suggested Thanos could be a playable character in Marvel Rivals someday, but nothing has been confirmed by NetEase Games. So, it currently remains unknown if Thanos will ever be introduced as a playable hero in Marvel Rivals.

Since the Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday — Avengers: Endgame event is confirmed to be a PvE mode, there is no chance that players will be able to take control of Thanos in the game, as they previously controlled Loki in the Avengers PvP Mode.

Therefore, don’t get your hopes up about playing as Thanos, as he won’t be added to the Marvel Rivals hero roster anytime soon. That said, do you want to play as the Mad Titan in Marvel Rivals? Let us know in the comments below.
