Who Is the next Marvel Rivals Hero?

As confirmed in the latest Marvel Rivals Season 10 trailer, Gorr the God Butcher is the new hero coming to the game. To everyone’s surprise, NetEase Games confirmed that Marvel Rivals Season 10 will feature only a single hero, Gorr, and another hero won’t make his debut in Marvel Rivals Season 10.5.

As developers are prioritizing Phases 3 and 4 of the Path to Doomsday event, they are skipping the launch of a new hero in Season 10.5. Instead, two new game modes based on the Avengers movies, Infinity War and End Game, will be released in the mid-season update.

Gorr first appeared in Season 9 and slew Apocalypse with his All-Black the Necrosword. However, devs kept his appearance and identity under wraps back then. Following the multiple teases in Marvel Rivals comics, the in-game Marvel Rivals Death of Apocalypse event, and Gallery Cards, Gorr was unveiled as the new hero in the latest Season 10 trailer.

What Will Be Gorr the God Butcher’s Role in Marvel Rivals?

Due to the nature of Gorr’s build, many expected him to be revealed as a Vanguard in Marvel Rivals. However, NetEase Games isn’t releasing two tanks back-to-back, and Gorr is confirmed to be a melee-focused Duelist in the latest Marvel Rivals Season 10 Dev Vision.

Gorr wields his iconic All-Black Necrosword, which can change shape into a scythe, bow, and more, as seen in the official gameplay video. He can also glide across the battlefield, with his teleporting powers enabled by Symbiote Assimilation. Moreover, Gorr can summon Black Berserkers to assist him in quickly securing eliminations.

Will Nightcrawler Ever Be in Marvel Rivals?

According to the latest list of leaked Marvel Rivals characters, Kurt Wagner, better known as Nightcrawler, was supposed to join the hero roster in Marvel Rivals Season 10.5. However, the developers have now skipped launching a new hero in Season 10.5 due to the release of the final phases of the Path to Doomsday event.

Therefore, Nightcrawler is now speculated to debut in Marvel Rivals Season 11, alongside Doctor Doom. Since Gorr turned out to be a Duelist, Nightcrawler is predicted to be a Strategist in the game. With his teleportation powers and swordsmanship skills, Nightcrawler will definitely be an excellent addition to the Healers lineup.
