With Episode 1085, the lengthy Wano Country Saga is now officially over in the anime. Hence, it is time to witness the next saga, the 11th saga of the One Piece series, titled the “Final Saga” by well-known author Eiichiro Oda.

As the name implies, it’s the beginning of the fantastic end of One Piece. And the first arc we have here in this yet another epic saga is called the “Egghead arc” aka Future Island arc, which started from chapter 1058 in the manga.

Therefore, the official production team behind the One Piece anime has now officially announced that the broadcast for the Egghead Island arc will begin on January 7, 2024. The anime will be adapting volume 105 of the manga, which will cover chapter 1061 – unknown (as the Future Island arc is currently ongoing).

Post-Wano Incidents in Anime

You must have been wondering if the Egghead arc starts next year in January, what will the anime showcase in the meantime. The answer to that question is simple; it’s highly speculated that Toei Studios has decided to consider chapter 1061 as the start of the Egghead arc in anime because that’s when the Straw Hats officially set foot on Egghead Island.

But this arc started in chapter 1058 in the manga. As a result, it is speculated that the episodes that are yet to air (before the Egghead arc starts on Jan 7) will adapt the remaining chapters 1058, 1059, & 1060. Therefore, get ready to witness some enthralling fights before Straw Hat Pirates head over to Egghead Island. Also, you can expect a usual holiday break or filler/ recap episodes at the end of December.

At this moment, we don’t know what plans Toei Studios has in mind for the leftover chapters as the date is locked to be January 7, 2024. Only time can let us know the real answer soon. Furthermore, the Egghead arc is the 32nd story arc in the series and is not as lengthy as the Wano Country arc. The Egghead arc is already in its final stages in the manga, so we can’t wait to see the new outfits (more on this below) and legendary fights in this arc being animated soon.
