The Boys Season 4 Episode 5 Recap

The Boys season 4 episode 5 brought us an unusual alliance between The Boys, Victoria Newman, and Stan Edgar as they searched for the supe-killing virus. However, instead of finding the virus, they came face to face with V’d up chickens and cannibalistic sheep. It was revealed by Sameer Shah, the father of Victoria’s daughter Zoey, and the man working on the virus that the virus is all destroyed.

On the other hand, Hughie’s father gained the power to phase through things after he was injected with Compound V. However, his memory was affected by Compound V making him a danger to everyone around him. Hughie’s dad did not want that for himself so he asked Hughie to euthanize him which he did after a heartfelt conversation.

Back at the farm where The Boys and others are trapped, they use the last shot of the Supe-killing virus to kill the V’d up sheep and save their lives. However, in the process, Sameer was thought to be dead since the authorities found his cut-off leg. Later on, by the end of the episode, it was revealed that Butcher abducted Sameer to make more of the Supe killing virus and cut his leg off to make it seem like the sheep killed him. The episode ended with a question in the viewer’s mind regarding whether Joe Kessler is real or not.
