#Path of Exile 2

Trial of Sekhemas can be unlocked by defeating Balbala the Traitor in Traitor's Passage of Act 2. Completing Trial of Sekhemas rewards Ascendancy points as well as other rewards like weapon, equipment, skill gems, and orbs. This game mode is best played with ranged classes, as it punishes players for taking damage with the Honor system.

Spirit is one of the primary sources to draw power from in Path of Exile 2. It is used to either channel auras or summon minions in the game. The more spirit you have, the more Aura skills you can have enabled at one time and the more minions you can summon. There are only three ways to get more spirit in Path of Exile 2.

To ascend in Path of Exile 2, players need to complete one of the Trials of Ascendancy for the first time. There are two trials of ascendency available in the game currently — Trial of Sekhemas and Trial of Chaos. Trials of Sekhemas is unlocked in Act 2, while Trial of Chaos is unlocked in Act 3. Both the Trials are endgame modes with different mechanics.

Path of Exile 2 only allows respeccing the Passive Skill points, and players cannot respec their chosen Class or Ascendancy. To refund passive skill points, you will have to unlock the Hooded One NPC by progressing the main story quest. Speak with the Hooded One NPC in the Clearfell Encampment town after unlocking it to respec your character.

Skills in Path of Exile 2 are obtained by equipping Skill Gems. These Skill Gems don't level up by usage as was previously common in Path of Exile. To upgrade Skill Gems in PoE 2, you need to use Uncut Skill Gems of higher level than the Skill Gem you have equipped. The amount of levels gained by the Skill Gem will depend on the level of the Uncut Skill Gem used on it.

Path of Exile 2 adds a ton of new things compared to its predecessors, which includes a big visual upgrade. This also means that the system requirements to run the game has also increased. Thankfully, the minimum and recommended system requirements for Path of Exile 2 is still very low compared to most modern AAA games.

Path of Exile 2 is a free game but the early access is locked behind a paywall. To play the Early Access of Path of Exile 2, players must purchase on of the Early Access Supporter packs for the respective platform. The amount spent on the early access supporter packs are converted to in-game microtransaction currencies.

Path of Exile 2 Early Access will be released at 7 PM GMT, on December 6, 2024. Preload for PC players will become available at 5 PM PST on December 5 through a PC client on the Path of Exile Forum. Xbox players already have the Preload available for them and PS5 players with the Founder's packs should go live 24 hours before the Early Access starts.
