As per a report by The New York Times, the Justice Department is close to filing a sweeping case on Apple for antitrust practices. The regulatory authorities are investigating Apple's dominant position in the market by making Apple Watch less functional for other smartphones, barring access to Siri voice assistant and denying other business the access to NFC chip for offering payments services like Apple Pay on iPhone. The antitrust case could be filed in the first half of 2024.
