- A few people got to see the first 30 minutes of the upcoming Superman movie.
- The reviews from this early screening were overwhelmingly positive and called Superman a complete opposite of how Superman was brought to the screen by Zack Snyder.
- Superman is set to release in theaters worldwide on July 11, 2025.
If you are a fan of DC who has often been bullied by the fans of certain other media houses for a lack of good movies, it looks like things are about to change for the better for you. Recently, the first 30 Minutes of Superman were displayed in Brazil and Manila as part of Superman’s promotional events. Following this, the first reactions that came our way from the people who attended this event were nothing but positive. So, what did they have to say? Let’s find out as we take a look at the first reactions to Superman movie.
Superman (2025) First Reactions

As I mentioned above, some people got to see the first 30 Minutes of Superman in Brazil and Manila as a part of the promotional events for the upcoming movie. You would expect to see some negative reviews for Superman (2025). However, as it turns out, they are overwhelmingly positive. An X user, who was a part of the audience, praised the beauty of the film and stated that they didn’t even realise when time flew by. He said-
“No way I saw the first 30 minutes of Superman after feeling so hopeless the entire day. Needless to say it was DAMN BEAUTIFUL. Time absolutely flew by…”
Another review came from RMBee, who compared Zack Snyder’s Superman to Gunn’s Superman. He told us that this version of The Man of Steel is the complete opposite of what Zack Snyder brought to the table. They also confirmed that the trailers seen so far are misleading the audience, and none of us is aware of what is happening in Superman (2025).
“It’s 180 degrees away from Zack Snyder’s vision. The trailers have been a bit of a misdirect”
Another interesting Superman (2025) first reaction came to us via EverythingDCU and they drew parallels between the Superman movie and Superman: The Animated Series. They said that Superman is very Silver Age coded and will have every aspect one would expect from a comic book movie like Superman.
“Superman has been described as a live action episode of ‘Superman: The Animated Series’. It’s very Silver-Age. It’s got a lot of those sci-fi tropes. It’s big in spectacle, drama, and laughs. Big in its heart. A very earnest film.” – Everything DCU
As of now, these are all the first reactions we have got our hands on and looking at them, it seems as if Superman is set to impress us in more than one way. Until now, movies based on DC comics have had a rather negative reaction, but this time around, things are about to change for good, and looking at these reviews, I am almost certain that James Gunn has finally given DC fans what was long overdue.
However, even though these early reactions paint Superman in a very positive light, we will have to wait for the movie to release on July 11, 2025, to get a much more inclusive and detailed review.
