Superman has become a global success, and while the movie marks a new chapter in the cinematic history of DC, there are multiple layers to the brilliance James Gunn has brought to the table. One such layer is the cleverly placed cameos sprinkled throughout Superman (2025), and if you think you already know everything about the characters who show up in the movie, trust me, you’d be very wrong. So, without further ado, let me tell you all about all the cameos we saw in Superman (2025).
Spoiler Warning: While we have tried to not include any spoilers, these cameos could spoil the experience for you. Proceed with caution.
1. Milly Alcock as Supergirl/Kara Zor-El

It has been officially established that Milly Alcock will be playing Supergirl, or Kara Zor-El, in James Gunn’s DCU, and while the movie has been filming for quite some time now, we still don’t have a trailer for Supergirl. However, Supergirl has a cameo in Superman (2025), and while I would not want to spoil the extent of her role, I would tell you that it is something related to Krypto.
2. John Cena as Peacemaker
One of the rather unexpected cameos in Superman (2025) was John Cena as Peacemaker. Now, if you think that he teams up with Superman or something like that, it didn’t happen. He appeared on a news show talking about the controversy going on around Superman, created by Lex Luthor. However, there is no direct interaction between Clark Kent and Peacemaker, and it does not connect to Peacemaker Season 2 as well.
3. Will Reeve as News Reporter
James Gunn paid tribute to Christopher Reeve’s Superman in every way possible with Superman (2025), and one such tribute came in the form of Will Reeve appearing in Superman as a news reporter. Even though he doesn’t have a massive role in the movie, this little cameo is quite interesting.
4. Angela Sarafyan as Lara Lor-Van
Another actor appearing in a cameo role for Superman is Angela Sarafyan, who appears as Lara Lor-Van, Kal-El, or Superman’s biological mother. Her screentime is quite less, but still her appearance deserves a mention.
5. Bradley Cooper as Jor-El
Another surprise came in the form of the news of Bradley Cooper appearing in Superman (2025). However, he is not appearing in a massive role but as Jor-El, Superman, or Kal-El. However, this casting in itself is some of the best I have seen in a while because, for some reason, if you imagine Jor-El, he would resemble Bradley Cooper. If you think I am on point with this, do let me know in the comments.
