Is Palworld on Nintendo Switch? Answered

Palworld has been going strong ever since it launched worldwide. And while the game launched on PC and Xbox, gamers have wondered if it will be available on handheld devices too. A Nintendo Switch Version of Palworld is Improbable

Let’s get the big question of the way. Palworld is not on Switch. There are multiple reasons behind Palworld not being on Nintendo Switch. But the first one comes from an official statement by Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe. In an interview with Game File, Mizobe mentions that Palworld on PC requires a lot of resources.

He further mentions that this difference in specs makes it “hard to port to Switch just for technical reasons.” Although he doesn’t rule out a possibility, he clearly describes the specifications of Nintendo Switch to be significantly lower than what Palworld requires.

Another key reason behind the unavailability is Nintendo’s brand image. As a kid-first console, Switch always maintains a family-friendly image. This makes Palworld an almost impossible game to enter the Nintendo library. That also means Palworld’s content, which includes elements like guns and potentially mature themes, might not align with Nintendo themes.

But what about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2? It might tackle Palworld’s demanding nature but there is another major issue. Palworld is a direct competitor to Nintendo’s dearest franchise Pokemon. This means Nintendo Switch might need to compensate for that popularity and image to get Palworld on their platform, which seems unlikely.

While it’s always possible that plans could change in the future, based on the current information, it seems unlikely that Palworld will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch anytime soon.

Is Palworld Coming to PS5?

Now that you know about a Palworld Switch release, we also know a Palworld PS5 release is coming soon. In an X post, the community manager shared several hearts foreshadowing the game’s availability on different platforms.

According to fan speculations, the other colors are black (Steam Deck), green (Xbox), and white (PC). Which means the added blue heart means PS5.
