Hey Strands heads, we are back with yet another sweet sweet puzzle! The round today was a piece of cake, but I had loads of fun solving it. What is the Theme for Today’s NYT Strands?
As revealed by the New York Times, the theme for today’s Strands is “As easy as pie”.
Spangram Hint for Today’s Strands

Every Strands game has that one Spangram that you need to decipher and today’s was no exception. The hint for today’s Spangram is – “Items required to cook something”.
Theme Words Hints for Today’s Strands
If you have figured out the Spangram from the above hint, figuring out the theme words will be easy. However, I don’t want to ruin it for you. Instead, here are three theme word hints that may help you:

Spangram Answer for NYT Strands on April 23
The Spangram for today’s NYT Strands puzzle is INGREDIENTS, and it runs from bottom to top on the letters grid.

Anyway, with that being said, let’s go to the next section. However, proceed only if you are ready to check out the theme words.

If you have scrolled this far, you are probably ready to see the answers. So, let’s take a look at today’s theme words in Strands:
- SUGAR
- VANILLA
- FLOUR
- SALT
- BUTTER
- PECAN
- SYRUP
The theme for today’s Strands was enough hint to make out the entire puzzle. I instantly realized that I had to look for the ingredients required to make a pie. And, I was right, for I found SUGAR, VANILLA, SALT, and FLOUR easily.
Then, my non-baking brain hit a bit of a wall. But, after some searching, I found BUTTER and PECAN on the right-hand side grids. I also facepalmed hard when I found out that INGREDIENTS was the Spangram for the day. Of course. Finally, I made SYRUP out of the remaining grids and solved the puzzle. Didn’t have to use any hints, so there’s that.
