Even though we have tried our best to be subtle, the hints below might partially spoil the experience. Proceed with caution.

When it comes to Strands, there are two categories of words in the game. The Spangrams are the ones you should be targeting first since the other regular theme words fall under it directly. Every Strands game has one Spangram that you need to decipher. Think of it as the main theme of sorts.

March 21 NYT Strands Solved

The “issue” in today’s theme was that it was way too self-explanatory. By now, I’m more than familiar with NYT’s casual way of throwing us off with puns. So, two seconds into the game, and I found HIGHLIGHTS starting at the second column and first row from the right.

Next, running right alongside was VOGUE which was a super easy find. It only gets easier, and right at the top, TIME was staring right at my face. Next, I shifted my focus to spotting the Spangram and MAGAZINE turned out to be an unrelated word. Then, I quickly realized I had to further extend it to get MAGAZINES. Once I did that, the Spangram for the day was done with.

At the bottom right edge, I got PEOPLE and the bottom left was home to SEVENTEEN. Somewhere in the middle of these two sections and the Spangram, I found WIRED. With that, your boy ended the game with flying letters.

It’s strange how right after my biggest fail, I got to solve my best the very next day. Today’s game left me all sorts of satisfied and happy. Just the euphoria I needed after a long day.

Moreover, I finally got to complete a game of NYT Strands without a single hint. What should I aim for next, though? I was thinking about targeting for a game where I can both unveil the Spangram at first as well as get through without a single hint used.

What about you? Did you end today’s Strands without using a single hint as well? If not, how many hints did you use to solve it? Let me know in the comments down below!
