He was able to take him out as well as Geto and complete his mission successfully.

On the brink of death was when Gojo realized his flaws and came back from the grave with his reverse cursed technique. He then discovers the deadly Hollow Purple technique with which he kills Toji Fushiguro. And this incident enabled Gojo to discover more of his powers and unlock the strongest version of himself. 2. Toji’s Abominable Backstory

The Zenin clan has always placed the highest priority on cursed techniques. Toji Fushiguro was utterly rejected by the clan and despised by the majority since he was born without a sorcerer’s powers, which meant he lacked cursed energy. Due to this single reason, the Zenin clan members mistreated and abused Toji in his early years.

According to the Jujutsu Kaisen manga creator Gege Akutami, Toji’s mental instability was brought on by his clan’s and the Jujutsu world’s mistreatment towards him. Thus, Toji made the decision to abandon the Zenin clan after being shunned by his family members. He grew to despise the morally corrupt Jujutsu community, and that’s why he became a sorcerer killer. So yeah, the Zenin clan created this monster and they deserved nothing but the worse (as we see in the later chapters).

3. Toji’s Heavenly Gifted Body

We all know that Toji Fushiguro was born with zero-cursed energy in a world dominated by Jujutsu. This indeed was terrible, but it was a blessing in disguise. Let me tell you why. It was because Toji was gifted with a superhuman body in return for completely draining out the cursed energy with him, thanks to the Heavenly Restriction.

With a superhuman-level body and ultra-enhanced senses, Toji mastered and toned his body to rival the most supreme sorcerers. He was known as the “Sorcerer Killer” for a reason and was a mighty foe to face. The fact that he was able to defeat both Gojo and Geto who were known as the strongest sorcerer duo at the time is a testament to his powers. Furthermore, remember that he did all that solely with his prowess instead of cursed energy.

4. Megumi’s Mother Changed Toji’s Life

Toji became unhinged primarily due to the Zenin family’s mistreatment. Just because he didn’t have cursed energy, he was resented and abused by his very own family and clan members. This made him renounce his clan title, and soon after he met Megumi’s mother. And he ended up assuming her last name, becoming Toji Fushiguro.

Her name was never revealed, but Akutami stated that Megumi’s mother supported Toji in regaining his natural self after his abhorrent past. Toji, however, lost control after her untimely demise and reverted to his disordered demeanor from before he met her. Maybe this character staying in Toji’s life a little longer would have fixed him.

5. Toji Loved His Son Megumi

Toji and Megumi Fushiguro, as we are well aware, didn’t get along well as father and son. We saw Toji replying with a “Who?” when asked about Megumi in JJK Season Episode 2. The same happened with Megumi when he didn’t even identify his father in the Shibuya Incident. And that’s understandable since Toji was usually unavailable (away on missions) when Megumi was a child.

Even though Toji sold his kid to the Zenin family, he did so because he had faith in the boy and believed that he would grow up to become a remarkable sorcerer. He even gave him the name Megumi, which is a synonym for grace or blessing in Japanese. So yes, even though he did not pay much heed, he saw his son as a blessing to the whole world, not just himself.

If you are watching JJk Season 2, you must have noticed a hideous creature sticking with Toji Fushiguro around his neck. It is a cursed spirit that acts as an inventory for Toji to store all his cursed tools and things he wants. Well, if you ponder about it, this is a fun fact many might not know about.

Gege Akutami said that Toji meticulously grew his inventory-cursed spirit like a pet. He trained the spirit the same way how we train our pet dog/cat. That is how he was able to establish a cordial relationship with it. I mean, he swallows the spirit to hide its presence, so they definitely need to trust each other. Moreover, his least favorite dish is not a dish afterall, it’s alcohol. Thank God he is a teetotaler, otherwise he would have come up with a drunken fist technique or something. But he is addicted to gambling as we saw in JJK Season 2 Episode 2.

Who would have thought this man would have a gambling addiction? But it has been officially confirmed in the Jujutsu Kaisen databook that Toji Fushiguro’s primary hobby is gambling.
