Yes, The Penguin is set right after the events we witnessed in The Batman. We see that Riddler succeded in his plans and Gotham was taken over by a catastrophic flood. On top of that, Carmine Falcone was murdered as well leaving the top spot in Gotham’s underworld empty and all the crime organizations scattered. The Penguin will show us that Oswald Cobblepot will try to take up the Top Spot in Gotham’s underworld as The Penguin. This show is not just a story between the two Batman movies but will also function as a prequel setting up the stage for The Batman Part 2.

The events we will see in The Penguin will take place exactly one week after the floods that drowned Gotham. The series will also feature Christin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, Macron’s daughter who will be standing in Penguin’s way on his attempts to claim the top spot in Gotham’s underworld.

Is Batman Going To Be In The Penguin Series?

Now, that The Penguin is now confirmed to be set in the same universe as Matt Reeves’s The Batman, people are wondering if Batman is going to make an appearance in this show or not. However, I apologize to disappoint you but Batman has been confirmed to not appear in The Penguin series. This show will completely revolve around the rise of Penguin to the rights of crime his comic-book counterpart is famous for with no interference from the Bat of Gotham in any way or form.

However, there is a probability that we might get to see Robert Pattinson in the role of Bruce Wayne but Batman will be nowhere to be seen. While these reports have been given out by the creators of this show, it could turn out to be a decoy as well so let’s wait and see what The Penguin has in store for us, till then stay tuned with us for further updates!
