Xiaomi-backed wearable brand Huami has launched two new smartwatches in India today, following up on the big success of the Amazfit Stratos and Amazfit Bip, which were two of the more popular devices among smartwatches and fitness bands in recent months.

The new Amazfit Pace and Amazfit Cor are designed for fitness enthusiasts and offer plenty of features with aggressive pricing like Xiaomi.

Amazfit Pace

Priced at Rs 9,999, Amazfit Pace is the higher-end of the two and comes with a 1.34-inch circular transflective color LCD. It is equipped with a 4 GB onboard media storage, a heart rate sensor and active monitoring, built-in GPS, distance, time, pace and calorie-tracking features, thanks to a 9-axis IMU (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer). It’s also water and dust-resistant thanks to the IP68 certification.

In terms of battery life, Huami claims up to 11 days of juice for standard use, up to 5 days in heavy use. It also says the watch can last a record-breaking 35 hours with just continuous heart rate and GPS tracking. Having not used the smartwatch, we are not sure how the watch goes into this low-powered mode, but it does sound promising.

As usual, you will get notifications for emails, SMS messages, call reminders, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Slack, weather forecasts and from other apps on the connected smartphone.

Amazfit Cor

The Amazfit Cor is priced at Rs 3,999 and is obviously not as feature-rich as the Pace. It has a bright 1.23 inch curved IPS LCD touch display, with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and an anti-fingerprint coating. In terms of functionality, you have the familiar activity and exercise tracking, sleep tracking, heart-rate monitor, a weather forecast, alarms, timer and a stopwatch. And of course, you can get notifications from the phone.

Despite the lower price, the Cor has water-resistance up to 5 ATM, which allows you to take the tracker up to 50 meters deep for swimming and other water activities. Huami claims 12 days of normal use on a single charge, which is again great for this price.
