Microsoft is finally rolling out Windows 11 24H2 aka Windows 11 2024 update to all eligible users. Although it’s a phased rollout, you can install the Windows 11 24H2 update right away if you wish to have it early. You get a revamped Copilot app with a refreshed look, an improved context menu, a scrollable quick settings panel, Wi-Fi 7 support, and more. Install Windows 11 24H2 (2024 Update)
- Open Windows Settings by pressing “Windows + I”.
- Here, move to “Windows Update” and enable “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available.”
- Next, click on “Check for updates”. Remember that it’s a phased rollout so you may get the update after a few days.
- A banner will appear saying “Windows 11, version 24H2 is available”. Now, click on “Download & install”.
- After the installation, restart your PC, and the 24H2 update will be installed on your PC.
Install 24H2 Update Using Windows 11 Installation Assistant
Microsoft offers a seamless way to update to the latest Windows 11 build using the Installation Assistant. This small tool automatically downloads the 24H2 update and installs it on your PC. Here is how to use it.
- Head to Microsoft’s page and click on “Download Now” under Windows 11 Installation Assistant.
- Next, launch the tool (4MB) and let it download the latest Windows 11 2024 update.
- After that, restart your PC and your PC will be updated to the latest 24H2 build.
Download Windows 11 24H2 ISO and Clean Install
Microsoft has also uploaded the ISO image file for the Windows 11 24H2 build. If you want to clean install the 24H2 build, you can follow this method. You no longer need to join the Insider channel since 24H2 is now generally available.
- Head over to Microsoft’s download page and scroll down to download the ISO for Windows 11 24H2.
- Here, choose Windows 11 and click on “Download Now”.
- Once the 24H2 ISO file (around 5.4GB) is downloaded, launch Rufus (Free) and create a bootable USB drive.

So these are the ways you can use to install the 2024 annual feature update on your PC. Bear in mind that promising AI features like Recall and Cocreator are not available on x64 PCs.
