In Short
  • The GTA 6 soundtrack will feature songs from Tom Petty, The Pointer Sisters, and Jay Ferguson, among others.
  • According to rumors, the tracklist could also include Doot Doot 6 7 from Skrilla.
  • Unconfirmed claims have suggested that GTA 6's radio stations could be used as a platform for new music releases.

Grand Theft Auto games have historically featured iconic soundtracks, and GTA 6 is more than likely to continue this trend. The songs used in GTA games don’t just provide a bit of bass to your chaotic actions, as they’re carefully curated to mirror the themes, aesthetic, time period, and setting of the narrative as well as the open-world sandbox it takes place within.

For instance, GTA: Vice City’s soundtrack was packed with 1980’s dance-pop to reflect the cultural zeitgeist of the era. In a tonal contrast, GTA 5’s jukebox alternated between West Coast hip-hop and contemporary urban pop, which gelled seamlessly with the game’s open world. The GTA 6 soundtrack will be curated with a similar objective, and the tracks used in the trailers have already provided a glimpse at what Rockstar is going for.

While it’ll take months for the full list of tracks to be revealed, snippets from the trailer and leaks from reputable sources have confirmed a small part of the GTA 6 soundtrack. So, if you’re interested in finding out how Rockstar’s next game will sound, here’s everything to know so far.

GTA 6 Soundtrack: All Confirmed Songs So Far

Based on the songs heard in both GTA 6 trailer 1 and trailer 2, and the most reasonable rumors floating around online, here’s how the GTA 6 soundtrack looks so far:

  • Love is a Long Road by Tom Petty (Confirmed)
  • Hot Together by The Pointer Sisters (Confirmed)
  • Thunder Island by Jay Ferguson (Confirmed)
  • Child Support by Zenglen (Confirmed)
  • Everybody Have Fun Tonight by Wang Chun (Confirmed)
  • Talkin’ to Myself Again by Tammy Wynette (Confirmed)
  • Back To Life by Poolside & Panama (Rumored)
  • Doot Doot 6 7 by Skrilla (Rumored)
  • New Neon Indian Collaboration (Rumored)
  • Travis Scott x Jackboys Collaboration (Rumored)

The selection of confirmed songs is classic Rockstar. The variety of genres alone is great to see, with synth-pop, new wave, country, and even Haitian compas getting some representation. The complete soundtrack will undoubtedly feature callbacks to GTA: Vice City through some 80’s disco pop bangers.

As solid as the confirmed list is, the rumored ones are even more interesting. For starters, both Back To Life and Doot Doot 6 7 were tied to GTA 6 by the artists themselves. The same can be said for the potential Travis Scott collaboration, since the artist starred in a music video containing an obvious GTA 6 easter egg.

Lastly, Neon Indian, who provided music for both GTA 5 and GTA Online, revealed in a podcast that they’re working with Rockstar yet again. Considering their collaborative record, their claims are likely factual.

GTA 6 Radio Station Leaks Explained

Back in June 2025, music producer Jermaine Dupri claimed that GTA 6 will feature artist-specific radio stations, citing Drake as an example. He also claimed that these personal radio stations would be used as a platform for new music uploads. Going by this concept, artists will supposedly partner up with Rockstar to release new music into GTA 6, just as they do on DSPs. This would allow players to access new music in the game itself, turning GTA 6 into a platform in the process.

While the idea certainly sounds like something Rockstar is uniquely positioned to pull off, this rumor is currently unconfirmed.
