Even though GTA 6 is approaching, many players still prefer Grand Theft Auto 5. However, it’s no secret that over nine years have passed since GTA 5’s PC launch. Thanks to GTA Online, Los Santos has changed dramatically. So if you’re a new GTA player, it won’t be as easy as installing the game. GTA 5 Legacy PC Requirements
Given that GTA 5 was released in 2015 on PC, the requirements to run it aren’t as crazy as they are currently. As such, here are the minimum and recommended PC requirements for the GTA 5 legacy version:

- Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 660 (2GB VRAM) / AMD HD7870 (2GB VRAM)
- Storage: 120GB HDD
- Sound Card & Audio: 100% DirectX 10 compatible
GTA 5 Enhanced PC Requirements
While GTA 5 Enhanced is not a different game, it is a different client, and it comes with many differences in visuals, effects, and more. Over the years, GTA 5 has had more demanding specifications, but the core game never required a huge upgrade. However, with a massive visual buff in the enhanced, the legacy system isn’t enough.
The game now requires better GPU, RAM, and processing power. The required RAM is now double, and the video card requires even more. As we already have Nvidia 50 series cards, it will be the ideal time to grab one. Well, you can of course go for a cheaper option. Here are the minimum and recommended PC requirements for the GTA 5 enhanced version:

GTA 5 Enhanced Recommended System Requirements
- OS: Windows 11
- Processor: Intel Core i5-9600K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Memory: 16GB Dual-Channel Configuration RAM
- Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (8GB VRAM) / AMD Radeon RX 6600XT (8GB VRAM)
- Storage Space: 105GB DirectStorage-compatible drive
- Sound Card & Audio: Windows Spatial Sound-compatible audio system; solution containing Dolby Atmos support required for a Dolby Atmos experience
Although you can play GTA 5 without the internet, that works only for the story mode. However, you will need a good internet connection to install the game, log in for GTA Online, and other verifications. While the legacy version was playable on more devices with less powerful systems, with more DLC and other packs, that changed significantly.
