In Short
  • The Fortnite Gem Sprite Hour will take place on August 8, 2026, at 2 PM ET and 9 PM ET across two rounds.
  • The Gem Sprite Hour will boost the spawn rate for Gem and other Special Sprite variants in Fortnite.
  • All players will start with a Self-Revive Device, have access to the Mythic loot pool, and find Mythic Goldfish in Chests.

With Chapter 7 Season 3 ending soon, we are reaching the end of Sprite Hours, with this weekend focusing on Fortnite Gem Sprites. We cannot say for certain whether this will be the last time we have this in-game event, so make the most of it. That said, here is what you need to know.

When Will Fortnite Gem Sprite Hour Start?

The Fortnite Gem Sprite Hour will start on August 8, 2026, at 2 PM ET and last until 4 PM ET for its first round. It will again repeat at 9 PM ET and will run until 11 PM ET for a second round. Unlike other Fortnite Sprite Events, this one will not just focus on Gem variants, but all of them.

If you’re looking for the rarest Sprites in Fortnite or other variants, this is the right time. That said, you should consider using Gizmos, like the Lucky Locator in Fortnite, to find Sprites missing from your collection.

What to Expect from Fortnite Gem Hour This Weekend?

In terms of gameplay changes, there will be four distinct modifiers in play during Fortnite Gem Sprite Hour. They will affect the overall loot pool, starting items, and Fortnite Cube Sprites and other variants. Additionally, everyone will stand a chance to gain a super rare item from Chests. Here’s what to expect:

  • Everyone gets a Fortnite Self-Revive Device at the start of each match during Gem Sprite Hours.
  • All seasonal weapons in the current Fortnite loot pool and items drop at Mythic rarity.
  • Gem Sprite drop rates are boosted, and other Sprite variants appear significantly more often.
  • Mythic Goldfish has a chance to drop from Chests; use it to bonk opponents.

That is about everything you can expect from the upcoming Fortnite Gem Sprite Hours. As mentioned, this could be the last time it will happen on account of the upcoming Fortnite “Unstable” live event next weekend on August 15.

That said, make the most of the upcoming Fortnite Gem Hour. The best option is to make full use of the Fortnite Peeky Peely Sprite if you have it and try to follow a loot path to farm Sprites in Fortnite; who knows, you may get lucky.
