How to Get Exotic Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2
You can only get Exotic weapons through the Rivalry Gear Machines in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2. These are special Vending Machines added with the new season, and they allow you to get powerful weapons, items, and buffs in exchange for Rivalry Credits. Here are the steps you can follow to get your hands on some Exotic weapons in Chapter 7 Season 2:
- Locate a Rivalry Screen at any of the major POIs on the Chapter 7 Season 2 map.
- To the right of the main screen, interact with the Weapons Rivalry Gear Machine.
- Select the Exotic weapon you want.
- Make sure you have enough Rival Credits. If not, complete a few Rivalries through the main screen.
- Purchase the Exotic.
It is important to remember that not every Exotic will be available at every Rivalry Screen in Fortnite. To keep things dynamic, Epic rotates the selection of Exotics available through the Rivalry Screens each match.

At the time of writing, there are a total of 3 Fortnite Exotic weapons available in Chapter 7 Season 2. These weapons are categorised under the “Lawful” category, a hint to the fact that they are revised versions of their “Lawless” counterparts from Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2. Apart from these weapons, Epic is also set to add The Foundation’s Rift Rifle as an Exotic weapon later in the season. The Rift Rifle is tied to the Fortnite Showdown Rivalries event, and players on Team Foundation have to hit their third milestone to add this weapon to the loot pool.
