Fortnite Weapon Tier List – April 2026
| Tier | Weapons |
|---|---|
| S | Ice King Gauntlets, Iron Pump Shotgun, Super Shredder, Thunder Burst SMG |

| B | Nemesis AR, Twin Mag SMG, Twin Hammer Shotguns, The Foundation’s Rift Rifle |
| C | Hammer Revolver, Pistol, Seven Cluster Cannon |
Best Fortnite Meta Loadout in Chapter 7 Season 2
The meta in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 largely revolves around being quick on your feet during combat and traversal. Here is our best Fortnite meta loadout you should use in Battle Royale and Zero Build matches:
- Combat Assault Rifle
- Iron Pump Shotgun
- Thunder Burst SMG
- Skyline Deployer
- Chug Jug/Chug Splashes/Slapperoni Pizza

The Combat Assault Rifle is the best AR in the game right now, featuring a fast fire rate and DPS that can wipe an enemy out within seconds. The Iron Pump Shotgun carries over its usefulness from Chapter 7 Season 1, and it is still the best shotgun to use.
While we’re generally not a fan of burst weapons, the Thunder Burst SMG is an amazing, versatile choice for my SMG slot. For the movement, the Skyline Deployer allows players to travel long distances with ease while also receiving a glider redeploy functionality that only adds to its traversal capabilities.
Best Fortnite S-Tier Weapons
Ice King Gauntlets

The first entry on the Fortnite gun tier list is not actually a gun, but the Ice King Gauntlets Mythic. Dropped the Ice King boss himself, these gauntlets pack a punch when used right. While Ice Attack shards can be useful if you have decent aim, the real meat lies in the gauntlets’ Ice Storm ability. This ability allows you to charge a big blast of ice towards your enemy, obscuring their vision and dealing AoE chip damage.
Weapon Stats
| Attacks | Weapon Stat |
|---|---|
| Damage (Ice Attack) | 50 |
| Damage (Ice Bomb Impact) | 65 |
| Damage (Ice Storm) | 5/s |
| Structure Damage (Ice Bomb Impact) | 150 |
| Structure Damage (Ice Storm) | 5/s |
| Ammo Reserve | 100 |
| Duration (Ice Bomb) | 5s |
| Recharge Time (Ice Bomb) | 15s |
This is something that can be extremely useful in build mode. If you are facing an enemy who is holding the high ground, you can easily find an opening and hurl an Ice Bomb towards their box. Since the Ice Storm deals damage through builds, it will cause them to reposition, giving you time to gain some height while the enemy is panicking.
Iron Pump Shotgun

The Iron Pump Shotgun is one of the most dominant close-range weapons in the Chapter 7 loot pool. Pump shotguns are notoriously good in Fortnite, no matter what form they come in, and the Iron Pump feels like the closest to the OG Chapter 1 Pump. It boasts serious damage, has a reasonable magazine size, and a spread that is easy to manage.
Weapon Stats (Legendary)
| Stat | Weapon Stat |
|---|---|
| DPS | 88.8 |
| Body Damage | 111 |
| Structure Damage | 57 |
| Headshot Damage | 202 (1.82x multiplier) |
| Fire Rate | 0.8 |
| Magazine Size | 5 |
| Reload Time | 4.59 s |
The weapon is fairly consistent, and this consistency also allows you to be more aggressive during combat, knowing the damage it will deal. You can pair it with an SMG or pull off the classic Thunder Pump with Chapter 7 Season 2’s Overdrive Grenades. All in all, it’s a trusty, reliable weapon that has become a staple of any Fortnite loadout.
Thunder Burst SMG

While burst weapons don’t usually rank high on the Fortnite weapon tier list, the Thunder Burst SMG is in a league of its own. Its magazine size, mixed with its serious burst fire damage, makes it a must-have SMG in your inventory, especially when paired with any shotgun.
Weapon Stats (Legendary)
| Stat | Weapon Stat |
|---|---|
| DPS | 202.5 |
| Body Damage | 30 |
| Structure Damage | 26 |
| Headshot Damage | 52.5 (1.75x multiplier) |
| Fire Rate | 6.75 |
| Magazine Size | 33 |
| Reload Time | 2.07 s |
The best use case for the Thunder Burst SMG lies in when you are trying to breach an enemy’s box. If you have good ping and maintain pressure on an enemy’s wall, you can easily break into their box, leaving them open to a shotgun blast to the face. The Thunder Burst SMG is also decent at medium range, making it quite versatile even to challenge bosses this season.
Super Shredder

Travelling across realities from Fortnite Save the World, the Super Shredder truly lives up to its name. The weapon is a shotgun-sniper rifle hybrid, already making it the most versatile weapon on the Fortnite tier list, which was unvaulted with the Rivalries Act 2.
Weapon Stats (Legendary)
| Stat | Weapon Stat |
|---|---|
| DPS | 80 |
| Damage | 89 |
| Structure Damage | 56 |
| Headshot Damage | 289 (3.25x multiplier) |
| Magazine Size | 6 |
| Fire Rate | 0.9 |
| Reload Time | 6.03 s |
When hipfiring it at close range, the Super Shredder acts like a more powerful Tactical Shotgun. However, at medium range, the gun is a marksman’s dream. It’s not only one of Fortnite’s most unique weapons but also one of its most powerful yet.
Best Fortnite A-Tier Weapons
Vector 7 DMR

The latest marksman rifle, the Vector 7 DMR, is arguably the best weapon for ranged encounters. Sporting a built-in scope and immense stopping power, the Vector 7 DMR can be your best friend if you are good with projectile weapons in Fortnite.
Weapon Stats (Legendary)
| Stat | Weapon Stat |
|---|---|
| DPS | 108.75 |
| Damage | 75 |
| Structure Damage | 72 |
| Headshot Damage | 131.25 (1.75x multiplier) |
| Magazine Size | 7 |
| Fire Rate | 1.45 |
| Reload Time | 2.7s |
However, you might find some trouble when using the Vector 7 DMR at medium range, especially when going up against an enemy equipped with an AR or the Thunder Burst SMG, even in Zero Build lobbies.
Chaos Reloader Shotgun

The newest shotgun on the Fortnite tier list, the Chaos Reloader Shotgun, is a beast. Despite coming with just one shot in the chamber, this shotgun can easily whittle your enemy’s health down in an instant, leaving them open to a follow-up with an SMG or AR. The best part about this shotgun is its unique reload mechanic, which automatically reloads the shotgun while it is holstered.
Weapon Stats (Legendary)
| Stat | Weapon Stat |
|---|---|
| DPS | 184 |
| Body Damage | 157 |
| Structure Damage | 74 |
| Headshot Damage | 175 (1.2x multiplier) |
| Fire Rate | 1.2 |
| Magazine Size | 1 |
| Reload Time | 1.8s |
This mechanic can be a lifesaver during build fights, whether you’re using Simple Build or not. With the Chaos Reloader, you can try shooting an enemy and then reposition yourself to a different spot or place a build in front of you. This allows you to be ready with another shot from the Chaos Reloader, and it can just as easily be the only weapon you need during build fights.
Seven Power Gloves

The only melee weapon on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 weapon tier list is the Seven Power Gloves. Essentially serving as a remodel of Nitro Fists from Chapter 5 Season 3, the Seven Power Gloves are faster and a great option for mobility.
The gloves feature a great directional movement mechanic that allows you to consistently reposition yourself on the battlefield. However, this same directional mechanic can get a bit tough to manage, especially on a controller.
Weapon Stats (Epic)
| Attacks | Stats |
|---|---|
| Damage (Punch) | 50 |
| Damage (Ground Pound) | 40 |
| Damage (Uppercut Punch) | 70 |
| Damage (Punch) | 50 |
| Structure Damage (Ground Pound) | 40 |
| Structure Damage (Uppercut Dash) | 70 |
| Magazine Size | 4 |
| Ammo Reserve | 20 |
| Recharge Time | 11s |
The Seven Power Gloves truly shine when chasing down an enemy with low health. The primary attack dashes you forward quite a bit, while the uppercut secondary attack has the ability to get the high ground during combat. Additionally, you can use the Uppercut Dash to gain height, use the Skyline Deployer, and then jump off the zipline to get a glider redeploy, mimicking a makeshift launchpad in the heat of battle.
Combat Assault Rifle

The Combat Assault Rifle is easily the best AR in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2. Boasting a fire rate that seems more fitting for an SMG rather than an AR, the Combat Assault Rifle can send enemies back to lobby from close to medium range. While it does not feature serious lethal damage by any means, the Combat AR does have a very short TTK (time-to-kill) and can be used both as an SMG or an AR.
Weapon Stats (Legendary)
| Stat | Weapon Stat |
|---|---|
| DPS | 202.4 |
| Damage | 23 |
| Structure Damage | 22 |
| Headshot Damage | 34.5 (1.5x multiplier) |
| Magazine Size | 30 |
| Fire Rate | 8.8 |
| Reload Time | 2.88s |
However, the Combat AR comes with a few minor setbacks. First off, its recoil can be a headache to manage when consistently firing the weapon. This also adds to its second drawback, its ineffective nature at long ranges. The recoil and the damage drop off make the weapon one of the weaker choices for long-range encounters. However, at close and medium ranges, the Combat Assault Rifle still packs a punch, even if you’re playing in bot lobbies in Fortnite.
Best Fortnite B-Tier Weapons

In the B-tier weapons, the Nemesis AR can be a reliable choice, but its low DPS and fire rate hold it back from truly excelling, even if you’re carrying out a Rivalry contract in the new Fortnite season. The Twin Mag SMG, while featuring a unique mechanic, fails to be viable until it’s either Epic or Legendary.
The Twin Hammer Shotguns, despite having a higher fire rate than other shotguns, are held back by their maximum damage cap. You might find some use for it in a mode like Zero Builds, but if an enemy gets a good headshot in with the Iron Pump or Chaos Reloader, it’s back to the lobby.
Finally, the Foundation’s Rift Rifle can be a great option for movement with its rift mechanics, but it has multiple drawbacks. This includes the method of getting the Foundation’s Rift Rifle and its charge-up mechanic. These drawbacks not only make it frustrating to acquire but also make it not very viable, with an enemy putting constant pressure on you during a fight.
Best Fortnite C-Tier Weapons

The C-tier weapons in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 have massive drawbacks. The Hammer Revolver, while being a fun unlock, lacks any real utility unless you are consistently landing headshots. The Pistol, despite having decent FPS, fails to stand up to basically any other weapon in the Fortnite gun tier list.
The Seven Cluster Cannon can be useful if you manage to catch enemies off guard. However, in a one-on-one battle, finding an enemy to sit still for all the pellets to hit for some damage is quite a task.
Best Fortnite Assault Rifles
| Tier | Assault Rifle | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| A | ![]() Combat Assault Rifle | Close-to-medium range |
| B | ![]() Nemesis AR | Medium-to-long range |
Among the assault rifles in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 tier list, the Combat Assault Rifle shines as the better alternative if you are looking for pure damage. Its fast fire rate and decent magazine size make it a laser in close-to-medium range. The Nemesis AR can work better at range, but the Combat AR is more preferable due to its being more versatile.
Best Fortnite SMGs
| Tier | SMG | Best For… |
|---|---|---|
| S | ![]() Thunder Burst SMG | Breaching enemy boxes |
| B | ![]() Twin Mag SMG | Close range encounters |
The Thunder Burst SMG, with its tight spread and serious damage, can be the perfect pairing with your Fortnite shotgun. Additionally, the SMG also performs quite well at medium range, making it much more efficient.
The Twin Mag SMG is an average weapon if you have just landed from the Battle Bus, but its small magazine size might have you constantly reloading when trying to breach an enemy’s box.
Best Fortnite Shotguns
| Tier | Shotgun | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| S | ![]() Iron Pump Shotgun | High damage, high utility |
| A | ![]() Chaos Reloader Shotgun | Fast-paced combat |
| B | ![]() Twin Hammer Shotguns | Players with weaker aim |
Pump-action shotguns have always dominated Fortnite, and the Iron Pump Shotgun continues this tradition. Despite its slow fire rate, the Iron Pump Shotgun possesses one-shot capabilities that put it above its peers, especially when paired with items like Overdrive Grenades. FNCS pros also prefer this weapon in their matches.
The Chaos Reloader Shotgun is a great alternative to the Iron Pump Shotgun, and its auto-reload makes it a fun weapon to play around with. The Twin Hammer Shotguns, while providing a faster firing alternative, are far less accurate and lack the raw damage players expect from shotguns.
Best Fortnite Sniper Rifles & Marksman Rifles
| Tier | Marksman Rifle | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| S | ![]() Vector 7 DMR | Long-range engagements |
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 doesn’t feature any sniper rifles in its loot pool. However, the only marksman rifle, the Vector 7 DMR, can fulfill both roles with ease. A quick headshot and body shot from the Vector 7 is more than enough to send an enemy back to the lobby, no matter what range you are fighting them at, and guarantee a Victory Royale.
Best Fortnite Mythic Weapons
| Tier | Mythic | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| A | ![]() Dark Voyager’s Obliterator | Immense stopping power and one-shot potential |
| S | ![]() Ice King Gauntlets | Flushing enemies out of their boxes and doing chip damage |
| A | ![]() Squibbly’s Combat Assault Rifle | A small upgrade to the best AR |
| C | ![]() Hammer Revolver | Situational but powerful if you can land handshots |
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 features four primary Mythic weapons. Among these, the Dark Voyager’s Obliterator (Mythic Chaos Reloader Shotgun) is easily the most powerful, as it comes packed with two shots and a massive damage boost to the base weapon. Additionally, the Ice King Gauntlets, as mentioned, are a great way to force your enemies to reposition while also sneaking in some damage.
Squibbly’s Combat Assault Rifle is just slightly stronger than the base variant, and can be useful if the Combat AR is your go-to choice of rifle. The Hammer Revolver, while boasting impressive damage, fails to be useful in most scenarios.
Best Fortnite Pistols
| Tier | Pistol | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| C | ![]() Hammer Revolver | Decent replacement for a shotgun follow-up |
| C | ![]() Pistol | Taking enemies out at spawn |
The Pistol category in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 is quite lacking. The Hammer Revolver, despite being the stronger option, does not have a place in the current loot pool due to its generic nature and inconsequential damage. Meanwhile, the regular Pistol is hardly even worth considering, as it fails to stand up to basically any other weapon in the loot pool.
Fortnite Stabilize the Rift Anomaly Weapons
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 also introduced the Stabilize the Rift Anomaly, which essentially serves as a unique loot mechanic. If you manage to take down the Dark Voyager drones around the anomaly, you will be rewarded with one of the following items:
- O.X.R. Rifle
- Havoc Pump Shotgun
- Leadspitter 3000
- Wrecker Revolver
- Sticky Grenade Launcher
- Thunderbolt of Zeus
- Boom Sniper Rifle
- Eradicator O.X.R. Rifle
- Eradicator Marksman Wrecker Revolver
- Overclocked Pulse Rifle

While you do not have a choice in which weapon you will receive through the Rift Anomaly, some weapons in the anomaly loot pool are more preferable than others. If you get the Havoc Pump Shotgun or the Overclocked Pulse Rifle, picking them up is a no-brainer. While weapons like the Sticky Grenade Launcher or Thunderbolt of Zeus can be fun to use, they lack any real utility in the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 meta.
Best Fortnite Exotic Weapons
| Tier | Exotic | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| S | ![]() Eradicator Marksman Wrecker Revolver | A powerful pairing with the Super Shredder |
| S | ![]() Eradicator O.X.R. Rifle | Decent aim players at close-to-medium range |
| A | ![]() The Foundation’s Rift Rifle | Movement capabilities and great ranged damage |
| B | ![]() Boom Sniper Rifle | Catching enemies off guard |
At the time of writing, there are four Exotic weapons that you can acquire in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2. Among these, the Eradicator Marksman Wrecker Revolver is definitely the best choice. Acting like a fusion of a shotgun and a marksman pistol, it acts as a great pairing with the Super Shredder and even stands as a formidable weapon on its own.
Similarly, the Eradicator O.X.R. can be a damage machine, increasing damage as you land more shots on your enemies. The Foundation’s Rift Rifle, while a fun traversal mechanic, features a charge mechanic that’s a bit too long to be actually viable during combat. Similarly, the Boom Sniper Rifle, despite shooting explosives, does not deal significant damage with its initial shot or following explosion.
