1. The Walking Dead

If we talk about Horror TV shows, The Walking Dead is one show you just cannot miss out on. This show is probably one of the longest-running horror shows and even though it got a bit derailed in a few seasons but still kept the essence it began with very much alive to the very end. The Walking Dead takes us to the protagonist, Rick Grimes, a sheriff’s Deputy who got shot during an encounter and went into a coma.

However, when he woke up, the world as he knew it was gone and was taken over by the undead. Amongst all this madness, he sets out on a mission to find his wife and son which leads to an epic journey altogether.

2. Midnight Mass

The Midnight Mass is a mini-series on Netflix that revolves around a small Island town on the brink of falling apart. However, as soon as a young priest shows up in the church, several unexplained miracles and events start taking place in the town. This mini-series is one of the best horror TV shows in this genre I have ever watched. Watching this show is quite literally like watching a visual version of a Stephen King novel.

If you are someone who enjoys watching gore and stuff, Slasher is a show you should really check out. This show takes us to the protagonist named Sarah Bennett who returns to the small town where she was born. However, as soon as she makes her return, a series of gruesome murders begin to take place by a copycat killer who is killing people similarly to how her parents were killed when she was a child. Now, since these unfortunate events start with her return, she finds herself at the center of suspicion and everything that is happening.

Imagine one day finding out that the stories you read about in the novels by your favorite horror writer were not just fiction but way more than that. This series brings in a renowned French writer who has to go back to her hometown after the woman who is supposedly a witch reappears after 15 years to haunt the people of her town.

5. All of Us Are Dead

After Train to Busan, this series is probably the finest Korean content in the Zombie genre. This series brings us a group of students who get trapped in their school as it becomes the ground Zero for a zombie outbreak. This series is fantastically done and even though it’s fast-paced, it never loses its connection to the basic story of this series. It will keep you on the edge of your seat till the very end. This show has the perfect balance of every element you would want to see in a horror show so do give it a shot!

6. Black Summer

If you are a fan of some serious Zombie action, Black Summer is a series you should definitely check out. This series served as a prequel to another show on Netflix titled Z Nation. This series shows us the Zombie outbreak spreading across America with a group of survivors trying to stay alive. Pretty generic plot, I know, but the content is not at all generic and in my recommendation, you should check it out.

7. Stranger Things

Stranger Things might be one of the best horror shows Netflix has ever produced. This show brings together the perfect harmony of horror, wholesomeness, comedy, and action which is truly commendable. Things take us to the small town of Hawkins where some experiments are being conducted in a super secret facility.

However, the experiment opens up a portal to an alternate dimension unleashing demonic horrors on this small town with only a group of kids and a Sheriff standing as a line of defense against it.

The Fall of The House of Usher brings us two siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher who have made a fortune out of their pharmaceutical company. However, the company is always in controversy regarding the quality of its products. They have been charged multiple times but always get out of trouble using their power and wealth. Now, out of nowhere, the heirs of the Usher family start dying in a gory and horrific fashion. Who is behind these deaths?

9. The Haunting of Bly Manor

The Haunting of Bly Manor draws inspiration from the famous Novel “The Turn of The Screw” by Henry James published in 1898. In this show, we get to see that after the death of a couple in an accident, Henry becomes the guardian of their two young children. A young governess is hired by him who is also the protagonist of this show. As she arrives in the Manor to the children, soon enough, she starts to experience eerie things related to the house’s mysterious past.

10. The Midnight Club

If you are someone who grew up watching Are You Afraid of The Dark, The Midnight Club is just a modernized version of it. This show brings us to a hospital for the terminally ill where eight patients meet up at night and tell each other stories with a promise of sending a signal from the beyond when they die to the club. The Midnight Club packs several interesting stories; even though some are pretty generic, some are just amazing.

11. The Watcher

More of a psychological horror, The Watcher brings in a family that has just moved into their dream house. However, what they thought would become their dream life, turned out to be a nightmare when they began to be constantly stalked by someone who refers to himself just as “The Watcher”. Mysterious phone calls and letters send an air of horror into the family as they try to find out who is ruining their dream life for them.

12. The Girl in The Mirror

The Girl in The Mirror revolves around a young girl who had been in a bus crash along with her whole class. In the crash, all of her classmates died and she is the only one who survived but the accident has caused her to lose her memory. However, even though she survived, everything seems out of place to her, even her parents and her own house. She is also constantly haunted by a presence which she thinks to be her imagination all of this, pushes her to go out herself and find out what is happening around her.

13. Hellbound

Hellbound is a Korean mystery horror show that brings in the concept of hell and heaven. In this show, we see that Angels of Death from Hell have started appearing in the real world and are killing people to take them to hell. The person who is going to die sees a prophecy telling them the date of their death and on that day, demon-like monsters show up to take their life. This leads to a lot of chaos in the name of religion and brings us a very gripping and interesting storyline.

14. Red Rose

Red Rose is about a group of kids who have just graduated from High School and are looking forward to what life has in store for them. However, one of their friends gets an app called Red Rose on her phone and what initially seemed to be a self-help thing, turns out to be much more sinister as it takes over the phones of her other friends and threatens them with dangerous consequences if they don’t do what the app tells them to do. The plot sounds a bit sloppy but is quite well carried out and the show is worth a shot.

15. The Order

The Order brings us, Jack Morton, a student at Belgrave University who joins the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose looking for revenge for the death of his mother. As he joins the order, he is engulfed in mystery and magic becoming a part of an underground battle between the order who practices dark magic and werewolves. If you watch the trailer for this show, you may want to steer clear of it but the show in itself is very gripping and is worth your time
