Avengers: The Kang Dynasty Cast – All Characters Rumored to be in the Movie

After the death of Thanos, the big question on everyone’s mind has been – “Who will be the new big bad guy of the MCU?” We got the answer to this question in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which introduced us to Kang the Conquerer as the brand-new villain of the MCU. Plus, we got to see the true danger he poses in the Loki series. However, since Jonathan Majors was recently fired from the movie and the MCU as well, the future of this movie is in jeopardy. So, if this film makes it to the theaters, find out about the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty cast and characters who might appear in the movie.

1. Kang the Conquerer

Jonathan Majors as Kang is history now since Marvel Studios have fired him following his lawsuit. Currently, there is no new casting done for the role of Kang in Avengers Kang Dynasty, but it seems that Colman Domingo is the top choice to wield the title of Kang. Well, let us just wait and see what Marvel does and what direction the release of Kang Dynasty takes.

2. Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange)

If someone is 99.99 percent sure to show up in Avengers 5, it has to be Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. Since he is quite literally the guardian of the planet Earth from outworldly threats, he is bound to appear in this movie.

He might also play a role in helping newly introduced heroes assemble to take a stand against Kang. Moreover, Doctor Strange is one of the last few OG Avengers left in the franchise so his appearance is kind of confirmed.

3. Captain America/Falcon (Anthony Mackie)

After Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it is confirmed that Anthony Mackie is now the new Captain America. Now, we have not seen him in action since that series, but technically, he is the leader of the new Avengers team, so he might show up in the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty cast, wielding the iconic shield.

4. Ant-Man (Paul Rudd)

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was the first time Kang was introduced to us. We saw Ant-Man defeat Kang along with Hope Van Dyne, or the Wasp. So, he might be included in the team fighting against the other variants of Kang.

Since he is the only one who has any substantial experience fighting against Kang, Ant-Man might end up playing an important role in The Kang Dynasty.

5. Thor (Chris Hemsworth)

After the kind of disaster Thor: Love and Thunder turned out to be, the God of Thunder needs to make a significant comeback to claim his spot as the most powerful Avenger. Another factor that kind of seals his appearance against Kang is the comic run of the Kang Dynasty or Kang Wars.

In both of these comic runs, Thor is basically the Ace of Spades for the Avengers against Kang. He is the only one who can take out Kang’s armies with comparative ease, thanks to him being a literal God. So we can keep our hopes high for seeing Thor in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

6. Ironheart (Dominique Thorne)

The death of Iron Man was a gut-wrenching tragedy for every MCU fan out there. However, it seems that MCU has come up with a successor for his legacy in the form of Riri Williams aka Ironheart. In my honest and personal opinion, Harley Keener, played by Ty Simpkins, whom we saw in Iron Man 3, should’ve been the one to succeed Tony Stark. What do you think? Anyway, why I think Ironheart might show up in Kang Dynasty is simple. From the recent Marvel movies, it is evident that the MCU is setting up the Young Avengers, and what would be a better time to bring them on screen if not in Kang Dynasty? Let’s see what happens.

7. Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani)

The Marvels released earlier in 2023 connecting X-Men to the larger MCU. However, I have to say the placement of this movie was rather smart. Now you might ask why. Since the team of Avengers has been gone for quite some time, they need new heroes to fight against the bad guy in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

On top of that, they need to set up the Young Avengers. As far as I think, the sole purpose of The Marvels was to connect the story of Ms. Marvel to the broader MCU, which it successfully did. So there is a high probability of seeing her fight alongside other young heroes against Kang and his variants.

8. Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld)

Since we are talking about The Young Avengers, we expect Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld, in the cast of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. We last saw her play the role of Kate Bishop, Hawkeye’s apprentice in the Hawkeye Disney+ series.

After that, she made a brief appearance at the end of The Marvels movie in a conversation with Kamala Khan where she is seen trying to recruit bishop for a superhero team, which most definitely is The Young Avengers. So the probability of her showing up is pretty high.

9. Captain Marvel (Brie Larson)

If someone other than Thor can fight against entire armies alone, well, it has to be Captain Marvel. Although the standalone Captain Marvel movies are mildly impressive, there is no denying the fact that she is one of the most powerful Avengers in the whole of MCU.

We see her finally settling down on Earth by the end of The Marvels, so there’s a high possibility of her being a part of The Kang Dynasty cast to protect Earth along with Ms. Marvel and other heroes.

10. Spider-Man (Tom Holland)

Another character who has almost a 99 percent probability of showing up in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is none other than Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland.

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, we see that everyone has forgotten who Peter Parker is. However, whether people recognize him or not, our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man cannot refrain from saving the day.
