The Identity of Scarred Man in One Piece Live Action Season 2 Explained
Initially, Straw Hat Pirates captain Luffy wants to head straight into the Grand Line to get started with his journey to become the King of the Pirates. But the crew needs to go shopping and realizes there is Loguetown nearby – the town related to Gol D. Roger – so Luffy agrees to take a detour.
However, the crew gets cornered by the unholy alliance of Buggy and Alvida Pirates, who overwhelm the Straw Hats. Eventually, Buggy gets incredibly close to decapitating Luffy on the same spot where Roger was executed. Fortunately, the entire execution site gets hit by a strange lightning strike that helps Luffy survive. It’s widely believed that Dragon saved Luffy at the time, but it wasn’t shown in the anime or the live-action series.

However, the trouble is far from over, as right after that, the Marine Vice Admiral Smoker starts fighting Luffy to arrest the pirate and put an end to his journey before it starts. But right then, a scarred man stops Smoker and disappears with him.
Well, for the unacquainted, the scarred man in One Piece Live Action Season 2 is none other than Luffy’s father – Monkey D. Dragon. So yeah, this also means that Dragon is the son of Monkey D. Garp. On top of that, Dragon is a leader of the Revolutionary Army, which opposes the rule of the World Government. We got a sneak peek at another important member of the Revolutionary Army in Loguetown, and it’s none other than Sabo.
Dragon is a powerful character who likely ate a devil fruit that grants him the power to manipulate weather. The character’s devil fruit is yet to be confirmed in the manga or the anime. He plays an incredibly crucial role in the One Piece series; however, the character is mostly seen working from the shadows.
So, you won’t see a lot of him in the live-action series, but Dragon will definitely play a crucial role in the One Piece live-action show’s story.
