Dexter is leaving Netflix on June 19, 2025, leaving every fan devastated. The television series captivated a massive fandom, a portion of which still enjoys watching the episodes repeatedly. Additionally, there are several new fans who have recently started binge-watching the series on Netflix.

A few fans took their disappointments to X, and one such frustrated fan wrote, ‘Why does Netflix always have to remove the good stuff and leave the sh*t stuff behind.’ The other wrote, ‘Netflix always ruins everything, man. I just started watching Dexter, and it’s leaving tomorrow.’ Many fans are currently frustrated with Netflix.

Netflix often acquires the licensing rights to ultra-popular television shows and movies from their rightful owners. So, when the agreement expires, and Netflix either fails or chooses not to pursue the deal further, the project is removed from its library. So, despite never being informed of the specific reason for Dexerto’s removal from the platform, the streaming service’s subscribers are speculating that the licensing agreement must have expired.

Well, while fans in the U.S. are highly upset with this, the audience based in the United Kingdom and Canada is relieved that the deal between Netflix and Showtime will expire on March 31, 2026.

Where Can I Watch Dexter After It Leaves Netflix?

As Showtime produces Dexter, the primary streaming platform where you can watch the series is Paramount+ with Showtime. However, you must have an active subscription to enjoy the episodes. The plan costs $12.99 per month, and the 7-day free trial will begin on the day you purchase the subscription. International viewers must use a VPN to access popular Showtime and Paramount+ shows.

Additionally, Dexter can be streamed on Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu. However, you must add an additional $12.99 per month alongside your regular Hulu and Prime Video subscriptions. Apple TV would cost you $2.99 per episode and $3.99 per HD episode.
