The Vivo NEX is one of the most exciting phones of the year, and it’s about to hit the Indian market on July 19, when it will reportedly go up for pre-order exclusively on Amazon.
MySmartPrice claims to have unearthed evidence that suggests the device will be launched as an Amazon-exclusive in India. It will also apparently be marketed in the country as ‘NEX’ and not ‘NEX S’. To recall, the NEX S is the top-end variant that comes in two different storage options, but the Chinese market also gets a base model dubbed the ‘NEX A’ that features more modest hardware and comes with a more pocket-friendly price-tag.
Meanwhile the latest report further suggests that the NEX will sport a price tag of Rs. 48,990, which will make it much cheaper that the Oppo Find X, which carries a price-tag of Rs. 59,990, and comes with slide-out cameras not only on the front, but also on the back. It is worth noting that Vivo is yet to officially confirm anything about the price and availability of the NEX in India, so do take the above info with a pinch of salt for now.
The Vivo NEX was officially unveiled last month in China, and comes with a ‘true’ full-screen, notch-less display, helping it stand apart from the crowd. The device also comes with a retractable front-camera, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a piezoelectric speaker and a bunch of other cool features that make it one of the most innovative smartphones in recent memory, alongside the Oppo Find X.
