In the comics, Homelander organizes a coup and takes over the white house with an army of supes guarding him. He kills the president and sits on the chair of The President of The United States. Butcher marches to the White House with a crowbar, and the US military by his side, who have developed weapons that can kill supes. Butcher plans to go into the White House and challenge homelander head-on. However, things don’t exactly go as per his plans. Homelander is then attacked by Black Noir, who is a clone of Homelander in the comics. In the end, Butcher kills Black Noir quite brutally.

In The Boys comics, the story comes to an end with the death of William Butcher at the hands of Hughie. So far in the series, we have seen that Homelander has successfully executed his plan. He is now in a position of power in the United States and has his army of supes quite literally handed to him on a silver plate. He can kill The President anytime he wants and can take the country under him whenever he wants.

What Happens to Homelander In The Boys Comics

In the comics, Homelander was made to be as unhinged as he is. Let me make it clear that before his manipulation he was still a bad person but was driven to be a psychopath later on. Homelander started receiving images of him doing heinous crimes which he does not remember. He figures that he blacks out and commits these crimes and with time, he starts to do them while being aware as well.

After the mentioned coupe, Homelander is confronted by Butcher in the Oval Office, and they are about to start fighting. Black Noir Shows up and reveals that he is a much more powerful clone of Homelander who was created to kill him if Homelander ever goes out of control. However, Black Noir cannot wait to kill Homelander so he commits those crimes dressed as Homelander and sends Homelander pictures of doing those crimes, including the sexual assault of Butcher’s wife so that he loses his mind and Black Noir gets to kill him.

Homelander is infuriated by this and attacks Black Noir. However, Black Noir takes down Homelander and walks out with his ripped torso in his hand only to be gunned down by the US Military. Butcher walks to the heavily injured Black Noir and pries open his skull with a crowbar killing Black Noir.

What Happened to The Seven In The Boys Comics

After the death of Homelander and Black Noir, the only surviving members of The Seven are The Deep and Starlight both of whom go into hiding. If you wanna know what happens to Queen Maeve, she was killed off by Homelander in earlier issues of The Boys and the same happened with A-Train as well.

Do The Boys Survive in the Comics

Out of the whole team of The Boys, only Hughie survives. In the comics, after the death of Homelander, Butcher still is not satisfied and gets a strain of Compound V capable of killing all supes in the world. When Mother’s Milk, Kimiko, and Frenchie try to stop him, he kills them too.

Who Kills Butcher in The Boys Comics

Hughie being the only surviving member of The Boys, takes it upon himself to stop Butcher and fights him on top of the Empire State Building resulting in the death of Butcher.

Hughie already has reached his breaking point in the series when he sees Victoria get killed in front of him and Butcher is out there with mass murder on his mind. So, it seems that the comic storyline has merged with the series and we might get to see if not a comic-accurate ending, we will get to see an adaptation of that.

So let’s wait and see where The Boys is taking us with Season 5 and till then stay tuned with us!
