The first Wear OS 5 Developer Preview has been released and is based on Android 14. It brings improvements to battery life, new watch face development guidelines, and new guidelines for larger displays. Besides, it brings a bunch of new developer-centric features to help easily test apps on Wear OS.
Samsung is reportedly testing Wear OS 5 on Galaxy Watch 6. With Google expected to showcase Wear OS 5 in its upcoming I/O 2024 event, we can expect the the first Wear OS 5 Beta for the Watch6 to come out soon.
