Reliance has today launched the JioPhone Festive Card priced at Rs. 1,095 which can be redeemed to get the first generation JioPhone. The gift card is available at Reliance Fresh, Reliance Smart and Reliance Digital stores across the country.
The JioPhone Festive Card can be redeemed under the JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer to get the original JioPhone at Rs. 501 in exchange for an old feature phone. The remaining amount will go towards the payment of the Special JioPhone Recharge Plan which is priced at Rs. 594.
The Special JioPhone Recharge Plan offers unlimited voice calling, 500MB data per day and 300 SMS for a span of the next 6 months. Users who avail the offer will also get a complementary data voucher worth Rs. 101. Additionally, the JioPhone Festive Card can also be redeemed in exchange for other products available at authorized Reliance retail outlets across the country.
However, a Reliance Jio spokesperson has revealed that the gift card can not be used to make a partial payment towards the JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer, which means one has to opt for the Rs. 594 plan if they purchase the JioPhone after exchanging an old feature phone.
The JioPhone features a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display with a screen resolution of 240×320 pixels and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The device runs on KaiOS and has support for a wide range of apps which include WhatsApp, YouTube and Google Maps, alongside complimentary access to Jio’s suite of applications. Moreover, support for TrueCaller is also in development for Jio’s smart feature phone.
