Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 7 Ending Explained: Is Keith Dead?

When we last met Peacemaker and his friends, they were indeed caught in a pickle. Chris had abandoned his homeworld and left for the alternate dimension. However, his friends were not going to let him go that easily and followed him to get him back. Now, while they thought it was going to be a simple snatch-and-grab, things went south real fast, especially for Adebayo. What Happened at the End of Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 7?

By the end of Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 7, we see that Peacemaker’s dad had interrogated John and figured out that the Chris he has been interacting with is not his son and comes from an alternate dimension. It did not take him long to figure out that his son, the alternate dimension Chris, had been killed. He broke this news to Keith, and as expected, he did not take it well. He and Keith rescued Peacemaker and Emilia from being arrested and brought them back to the house, where Chris explained everything to them.

While Auggie seemed to understand what had happened, Keith just wanted to kill Chris and all his friends. When Emilia confronted Auggie for being a Nazi, he denied it and expressed himself in a way that confirmed his claims. However, that did not last long as the alternate Vigilante ambushed him from behind and killed Auggie with a stab in the neck. This infuriated Keith, and he opened fire, leading to a confrontation and cops coming into the house. Everyone rushed to the portal door with Keith on their tail, and both Vigilantes provided cover.

Is Keith Dead in Peacemaker Season 2?

However, things got intense, and Keith was fatally wounded, leading Peacemaker to blame himself for everyone dying around him. Emilia forced Peacemaker through the door, and just as she was about to shoot Keith with the alternate Vigilante’s gun, the policemen showed up, and he pushed her through the door, shutting it behind him.

We did not see Keith dead in Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 7, but most likely, this will be the last of Keith that we will see. Peacemaker Season 3 is highly unlikely, as James Gunn has hinted in his podcast.

By the end of the episode, Peacemaker and everyone else were surrounded by Flag and Argus. Just before everyone would be arrested, Chris took all the blame on himself and was arrested alone after Judomaster corroborated Peacemaker’s story.

Why Did Peacemaker Get Himself Arrested?

In this episode, witnessing how Auggie and Keith died as soon as he entered their life, Peacemaker started blaming himself for everyone who had died around him. His logic behind surrendering is simply to stay away from everyone. Even in the teaser for Episode 8 of Peacemaker Season 2, his friends tried to visit Chris in prison, but he refused to see them, claiming to be “The Angel of Death”.
