After patiently waiting for about half a decade, One Punch Man fans can now rejoice as the season 3 announcement was finally made earlier today. There have been a lot of talks going on about season 3 recently, as it was rumored that either MAPPA or the author’s new venture Village Studios will be adapting the third season. However, those rumors no longer stand in the way, as it was announced that J.C. Staff, the animators for OPM, will be returning to make the new season. One Punch Man Season 3 Trailer Released

After Madhouse Studios who worked on One Punch Man Season 1, J.C. Staff picked up the baton to deliver the OPM anime to fans. While they couldn’t manage to recreate the wonder Madhouse did with the first season, they still did a good job with Season 2. Now, they are coming back to produce yet another season of One Punch Man.

Currently, there is no information about One Punch Man season 3’s release date, as production has just begun. This news was confirmed in a special announcement alongside a short teaser video. You can check out the teaser here:

The teaser looks absolutely solid and does justice to the amazing panels that show the Saitama vs Garou fight in One Punch Man. We can’t wait to witness the epic clash between our beloved hero, Saitama, and human monster, Garou in the upcoming season.

Story of One Punch Man Season 3

The official plot for the upcoming season has also been revealed, and it is as follows:

After three years of “special training,” Saitama has become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama, performs his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association.

One day, monsters claiming to be from the Monster Association suddenly appeared, taking a child of Hero Association executive as a hostage. The S-class heroes gather and plan a raid on the Monster Association hideout to rescue the hostage. Meanwhile, Garou, a “human monster” who was taken by the Monster Association during a battle with the heroes, awakens in the Monster Association hideout. What awaits them?
