The Honey Sprite was added to the game on October 15, as part of the Fortnite update 42.40 for Fortnitemares 2026. It is one of the five winners of the “Design A Sprite” contest that Epic Games organized earlier this year. The Honey Sprite is essentially a blob of honey with a dipper stuck in the head and honeycombs on its body. That said, here is how to get the Honey Sprite in Fortnite.

Fortnite Honey Sprite Locations and Where to Find It

The best way to get the Honey Sprite is by smashing Pumpkin chests in Fortnite. They can be found all over the map, and they are guaranteed to give you one of the new Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Sprites that have been added for Fortnitemares. There are other methods you can use as well, but this one is the fastest. Nevertheless, let’s talk about all of them in depth.

Smashing Pumpkin Chests, Searching Rare Chests, and Entering Cheat Codes

As previously mentioned, smashing Pumpkin chests is the best way to get the Honey Sprite in Fortnite during Fortnitemares 2026. However, if you can’t find any, you can also search rare/normal chests to get Sprites instead. The drop rates are low, but never zero.

You can also enter Trick or Treat Cheat Codes in Fortnite to get the new Fortnitemares Sprites. They can be found everywhere, which makes them easily accessible. Just keep in mind that unlike regular Cheat Codes, these have a small chance of being “Corrupted.”

When you try to enter the Cheat Code, they glitch out. You can fix this by hitting it once with your Pickaxe. Then enter the code again, and it should work normally. If using Gizmos and searching chests have yielded no results, you can always opt to trade Sprites in Fortnite. Ask your friends to give you the Honey Sprite in exchange for something they want or need. Offer them newly added Deer or Spooky Dash Sprites in Fortnite if they are yet to find any.

Lastly, you can try eliminating players while using Bounty Hunter Sprites in Fortnite. They have a small chance of causing eliminated players to drop a Sprite (aside from any they may be carrying). Defeating Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 bosses also gives you a small chance of receiving a Sprite.

We suggest that you begin your search for the Honey Sprite in and around the newly added Nightmare Neighborhood POI in Fortnite. Added with the Fortnite update 42.30, this location has several Pumpkin chests to smash, and Freddy Krueger can be found lurking somewhere within the POI. As seen on the map, aside from Nightmare Neighborhood, we suggest you search in POIs that have plenty of greenery. This includes Golden Grove, Cluster Coast, Shaken Sanctuary, Heatwave Harbor, Stone Sanctum, and Green Hill Zone. If you do visit Stone Sanctum, remember to open the Fortnite Vault that’s located underneath the POI.

Fortnite Honey Sprite Powers Explained

The Honey Sprite in Fortnite gives you a chance to spawn bees at the hit location upon dealing damage with a ranged weapon. This is a great ability that lets you deal passive damage even when not fighting the enemy. The only downside is that you need to be damaged for the ability to trigger. Be sure to have the Snack-O’-Lantern Fortnite Gizmo at hand to get healing consumables.

To that end, to level up the Honey Sprite in Fortnite, you need to open containers, smash Pumpkins, search chests, eliminate opponents, and use items. Keep in mind that the Bounty Hunter variant of the Honey Sprite is an exception to the aforementioned methods, as it can only be leveled up by eliminating opponents.

• Cheat Master Honey Sprite: Base power + all inputs are correct when entering Cheat Codes found in the world.
• Gold Honey Sprite: Base power + gain 3x bonus XP from eliminations.
• Loot Hacker Honey Sprite: Base power + increased chances of spawning items from your Loot Hacks.
• Bounty Hunter Honey Sprite: Base power + chance to find Sprites when eliminating opponents. Only gains Sprite XP from eliminations, unless the Sprite has special XP rules.
• Trick or Treat Honey Sprite: Base power + chance to find candy when opening containers.

Out of all of the variants, Cheat Master Honey Sprites in Fortnite are going to be the hardest to find. In contrast, the Trick or Treat Fortnite Sprite variants are going to be the easiest, since they were only released recently.
