The Deer Sprite is part of a collab with 99 Nights in The Forest, which was announced prior to the start of Chapter 7 Season 4. While the Deer Sprite in Fortnite looks like a cartoonish version of the Wendigo, it’s one of the most powerful Sprites in-game. That said, here is how to get the Deer Sprite in Fortnite.

Fortnite Deer Sprite Locations and Where to Find It

Smashing Pumpkins chests, searching rare chests, and entering Cheat Codes are the best ways to get the Deer Sprite in Fortnite. There are other methods as well, but these are going to give you the fastest results within the span of one or two matches in Fortnite. That said, let’s discuss each one in depth.

Smashing Pumpkins chests, searching rare chests, and entering Cheat Codes

As part of the Fortnitemares 2026 update, smashable pumpkins have been added to the island. You can interact with these “Pumpkin chests” to receive a Sprite. Searching rare chests is going to be your next best option, as they contain high-tier loot. The only problem is that you need to open Vaults in Fortnite to have the best chance of finding them.

Lastly, you can always enter Cheat Codes in Fortnite to get the Deer Sprite. However, with the Fortnite update 42.30, some Cheat Codes are going to “Trick or Treat” you. They won’t work as intended and appear corrupted. You need to shoot or pickaxe them to get them to function normally again.

Trading Sprites with Friends and Eliminating Players

If you still haven’t found the Deer Sprite, we suggest you try trading Sprites in Fortnite with other players or teammates. Since Sprites can be summoned if lost (or traded), you can easily get someone to trade the Deer Sprite with you.

The Deer Sprite amplifies your melee attacks, allowing you to do more damage, which scales and increases as it levels up. If you prefer using a Pickaxe in close-quarters combat or any other melee weapon, like the Kingdom Key in Fortnite or the Freddy’s Nightmare weapon, expect to inflict damage more than usual.

Based on what we’ve seen from leaks, the Trick or Treat Sprite variant is the last to be released this season. That said, we’re sure you have yet to find all Cheat Master Sprites in Fortnite, owing to how rare they are. We suggest that once you get the Deer Sprite, try to collect the rest and add them to your Sprite Garden in Fortnite.

How Rare Is the Deer Sprite in Fortnite?

The Deer Sprite has the same drop chance of 1.773% as the Vampire Sprite in Fortnite, as it is also of the “Legendary” rarity. This makes it harder to acquire than usual. Try using the Lucky Locator or Cheat Code Locator in Fortnite if you can’t get the base version of the Deer Sprite by the weekend.
