For a Potion of Invisibility recipe in Minecraft, we need to do a little preparation first. You can use the table below to discover all the items you need for this potion. Or, you can use it to skip directly to the brewing process.

What is a Potion of Invisibility in Minecraft?

As the name suggests, this potion can turn the players or the mobs invisible. That means other mobs and players won’t be able to see you for as long as the effect of the potion lasts. Its maximum length can be extended to 10 minutes using Redstone dust. But it doesn’t have any additional upgrades, unlike many other potions.

Now, keep in mind that the invisibility potion doesn’t make you undetectable. Entities attached to your body like arrows, fire, held items, and more would still be visible. If you get close enough to another mob or player, they might be able to hear you or detect your presence. So, you still need to be vigilant after using the potion in-game.

  • Fermented Spider Eye
  • Brewing Stand
  • Blaze Powder

If you already know about it, learn how to make Potion of Night Vision, which is essential for our Potion of Invisibility in Minecraft. Meanwhile, let’s figure out how to get the rest of the required items for our potion.

How to Get Blaze Powder

First, you need to make a Nether Portal in Minecraft to reach the Nether dimension. Here, you can find the deadly blazes in the Nether Fortress. Killing the blaze will get you blaze rods. Make sure to kill as many blazes as possible. Though, you might get attacked by other mobs while you are in the Nether, so make sure to practice caution.

Once you have the blaze rods, you need to place them on a Crafting table in Minecraft. Doing so will automatically turn the rods into blaze powder. It’s the key element we need to fuel our brewing stand.

How to Make Fermented Spider Eye

Our Potion of Invisibility depends mostly upon the fermented spider eye. To make it, we require a spider eye that can be collected by killing a spider. Then, we need to combine it with brown mushroom and sugar. Sugar can be crafted by putting sugarcane on the crafting table. Sugarcane can be easily found near rivers. Meanwhile, you can find brown mushrooms in Nether, swamps, Taiga, and several other Minecraft biomes.

Once you have these three items, put them together on a crafting table. There is no specific shape for this recipe, so putting ingredients in any shape will get us the fermented spider eye. There is no other way to obtain this rare in-game item.

How to Brew a Potion of Invisibility in Minecraft

Once you have all the ingredients ready, the process to make the potion is easy. Follow the steps below for the Potion of Invisibility recipe:

1. First, open the Brewing Stand and put the blaze powder in the left-most cell of the stand. It will automatically burn itself and turn into the power source of the stand.

2. Then, in the bottom 3 cells of the stand, put your Potion of Night Vision bottles. You can convert up to 3 potion bottles into Potion of Invisibility with a single fermented spider eye.

3. Finally, place the fermented spider eye in the main cell at the top, next to the arrow in the brewing stand. Within a few seconds, it will convert your Potion of Night Vision into a Potion of Invisibility.

How to Use Minecraft’s Potion of Invisibility

The most basic way to use any potion is to directly drink it. You can equip the potion bottle and drink it using the right-click or second action button. It will turn you invisible in a tricky situation. But, you can also convert it into a splash potion by adding gun powder into it. This isn’t exactly useful as invisibility is a positive effect. Though, you can use then use that splash potion to turn other mobs and players invisible for fun.

All you need to do is to find a creeper and kill it. If it dies before exploding, it drops the gun powder that you need to make the splash potion. Then, similar to how we combined fermented spider eye to an existing potion, you need to combine gun powder with the invisibility potion.

To do that, open your browsing stand, put the 3 potions you brewed in the section above in the bottommost cells and the gun powder in the main cell at the top. Then, your throwable splash Potion of Invisibility in Minecraft will be ready in no time.
