Gen V season 1 is set after The Boys Season 3 and the upcoming Gen V season 2 will show us the events after The Boys Season 4. In the first season of Gen V, the story takes us to Godolkin University where young superheroes are trained to become the best version of themselves and the best of them gets to join The Seven and work with Homelander.

However, that’s not the only connection Gen V has to The Boys. The show reveals to us that within Godolkin, people are working on creating a virus that can kill supes. Moreover, in the final episode of Gen V Season 1, Homelander shows up and takes down Marie Moreau and her friends imprisoning them in an undisclosed location. In the final moments of the show, we also see that Butcher finds out about the virus, and in The Boys season 4, the entire story revolves around Butcher and The Boys securing the said supe-killing virus.

By the end of The Boys Season 4, we see that Butcher kills Victoria Neuman and he drives off on a mission to kill all supes with the only vial of the virus Frenchie was able to recover. The thing to note here is that Neuman’s daughter was sent to the Red River Institute, the same place where Marie Moreau from Gen V grew up.

Basically, Gen V Season 1 acted as a bridge between The Boys Season 3 and Season 4 and now that it’s season 2 is set to release before The Boys Season 5, there is a chance that we will get a glimpse of how America has turned out under the leadership of Homelander in Gen V season 2 while possibly setting up the stage for The Boys Season 5. So, let’s wait and see what happens, and till then, stay tuned with us for more updates!
