In Short
  • GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, with pre-loading beginning on November 12.
  • Rockstar has not announced any legitimate early access, so VIP or beta offers should be treated as scams.
  • Players should only purchase GTA 6 through Rockstar and authorized storefronts to avoid losing money and exposing accounts.

GTA 6 launch is merely months away, and scams that promise fans early access to the game are on the rise. These are scams that you see across the internet on social media or on fake websites dedicated to them.

However, there’s one scam that’s already plaguing the community, which is looting people of hundreds of dollars with a “guaranteed” early access to GTA 6

The “Play GTA 6 Early” Button Could Cost You More Than $80

A GTA 6 scam can look surprisingly convincing when it copies Rockstar’s branding, logo, and the official screenshots. Some of the pages even declare that here you can purchase the “VIP Early Access,” “beta access,” and even some “exclusive keys.”

This is something Rockstar has never announced, nor are there any VIP programs or early-access periods. The problem here is that scammers are already trying to turn the GTA 6 hype into easy money.

Adding to this early access GTA 6 scam, some sites even start charging hundreds of dollars. Instead of viewing those sites, make sure that you go through our GTA 6 global price list so that you don’t get tricked into wasting your hard-earned money.

The danger doesn’t stop at losing money. A fake GTA 6 download could be used to deliver malware, steal passwords, get your payment information, or even hijack your accounts. So, make sure that you treat unverified and unofficial signs like a countdown timer, limited-stock message, or an “exclusive” download launcher as a warning.

It is confirmed that there is no disc in GTA 6 physical copies. Since the game is available for digital purchase, there’s no way it can have a limited stock. You should also be aware of pre-loading and early access. Rockstar has confirmed the former that allows you to download the game early on November 12; however, you won’t be able to play it.

The safest approach to avoid these GTA 6 scams is painfully simple. If an offer sounds like a secret shortcut, 9 times out of 10, it’s a trap. Make sure that you check the official Rockstar channel or the platform storefront, instead of trusting a random YouTube comment, Discord message, social media post, or an unfamiliar website.

With the GTA 6 extended look coming to Netflix on August 27, such potential GTA 6 scams might increase every day. So, make sure you double-check what you’re clicking on the next time.
