Who Is Valya Harkonnen in Dune: Prophecy?
Valya Harkonnen is the central character of Dune: prophecy, who has a hatred for House Altredes. That’s because years ago, her great-grandfather was punished and branded as a traitor by Vorian Atreides. After that, Vorian sent him to a planet that no one would want to spend their days on. Valya learned about how Vorian Altredes humiliated his great-grandfather and forced them to lead a miserable life on a backwater planet. Hence, she grew up with hatred against House Altredes in her heart and asked her siblings, Tula and Griffin, to join her in this mission.
When Valya was 16 years old, Sister Arlett recruited her as a sister of the Bene Gressit order, which was known as the Sisterhood of Rossak at that time. Her determination helped her become one of the favorite students of the order’s first Reverend Mother, Raquella Berto-Anirul. She continuously honed her skills and worked with Karee Marques to learn about the new poisons and drugs.
