Does Colin and Penelope Get Married in Bridgerton?
Colin Bridgerton has always been charismatic enough to make a girl fall in love with him. So, Penelope became a fan of him when she accidentally made the young man fall from his horse. However, by the end of the last season, she hears Colin talking to someone, saying that he would never marry Penelope. After getting heartbroken, she also starts avoiding her closest friend, Eloise, who is often seen with the cunning Cressida Cowper in the new season. So, Penelope is left with no one she can share her feelings with.
The new season of Bridgerton shows Colin returning from abroad, but recalling the words coming from his mouth earlier, Penelope continues to ignore him. However, seeing him talking to other young women makes Penelope’s heartbreak even worse. So, she decides to find a worthy husband, and when Colin realizes that he is the reason for Penelope’s heartbreak, he promises to find her a suitable soulmate.
When Penelope meets a wealthy man named Lord Debling, she initially thinks that he might be the one she is looking for. However, due to their compatibility issues, the relationship doesn’t move ahead. Eventually, Colin starts falling for Penelope and getting overprotective of her, so he somehow manages to stop Debling from proposing to Penelope.
Julia Quinn’s fourth book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, focuses on the romance between Colin and Penelope.
