Some might wonder whether the character we saw in Superman is an adaptation from DC comics. However, the truth is far from that. While multiple theories were floating around regarding the identity of the Hammer of Boravia, in the end of the day, his identity turned out to be quite simpler than we anticipated. In Superman, the Hammer of Boravia turned out to be a clone of Superman created by Lex Luthor to take down the Man of Steel and then use his clone to permanently taint his image for the public.

However, his plan was not able to go through, and Superman took down The Hammer of Boravia with the help of Krypto by the end of the movie by throwing him into a black hole. Now, some people were not happy with this because it essentially showed that Superman killed someone, but what if it was not that simple?

Will The Hammer of Boravia Return in Future DCU Projects?

Now, when I said that it was not simple, let me explain the reason behind it. While the clone of Superman as seen in the movie was kind of creepy, it did resemble someone in the DC universe, and if you can’t guess it, let me put it out plain and simple.

The clone bore a close resemblance to Bizarro and his characteristics, and now that Superman threw him into a Black Hole, we don’t exactly know if he is dead or not and could return in the future as Bizarro. However, this is just a theory, so we will have to wait to find out if this turns out to be true or not. Till then, let us know in the comments what you guys think.
