After quite some time, DC is officially back on the big screen, and it looks like James Gunn has done business when it came to bringing a comic book to life. Now, since Superman marks the first major project of the new DCU, all eyes were understandably on the post-credits scene, and for good reason. Fans have been wondering whether it would tease the next big threat or drop a hint about where the DC Universe is headed next. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at what exactly does the Superman (2025) post-credits scene features and have it explained in detail for you guys.

Superman features two very distinct post-credits scenes. Now, if you want to be technical, you could say that Superman (2025) has one mid-credit scene and one post-credit scene.

Superman (2025) Post-Credit Scene Explained

The first post-credits scene in Superman(2025) features Krypto, and the other one features Mister Terrific. In the first post-credit scene, or the mid-credits scene, we see Superman sitting with Krypto on the moon, looking down at the Earth.

In the post-credits scene of Superman (2025), we see something that’s equal parts intriguing and subtly hilarious. The scene opens with Superman and Mister Terrific standing in front of a structurally compromised building, one that’s been split due to the Earth literally cracking open during the events of the film.

Superman, clearly trying to lighten the mood, cracks a joke and says, “The building looks a little crooked.” But Mister Terrific isn’t in the mood. He silently walks away, visibly annoyed, and even kicks a rock in frustration.

Realizing he might’ve pushed the wrong button, Superman immediately backtracks and shouts, “I shouldn’t have brought it up!” before muttering to himself, “Gosh, I can be such a jerk.” It’s a small scene, but it manages to hit a few important notes, showcasing Superman’s awkward charm, the emotional weight of the events that just unfolded, and the tension building between key characters.

Does Superman’s Post-Credit Scene Tease a DCU Future Project?

Even though Superman does feature two post-credits scenes, they are there just for the sake of symbolism or gags. The one we see with Krypto symbolises how Superman finds himself responsible for taking care of and protecting the Earth, while the other one just shows a fun interaction between Superman and Mister Terrific. So, it’s safe to say that Superman (2025)’s post-credit scenes do not tease any future projects in the DCU.
