2. Here, you’ll need to replace [NETFLIX CODE] with any one of the codes that we’ve listed above. Once that’s done, press the Enter key on your keyboard and Netflix will now show your desired genre on the screen.

For instance, if you want to watch some 90-minute family movies on Netflix, you need to enter 81466229 in place of [NETFLIX CODE], which is the code for this specific genre. In this case, the URL for the genre would look like this: HTTPS://WWW.NETFLIX.COM/BROWSE/GENRE/81466229

This will prompt Netflix to show all the movies based on the chosen genre and you should see a screen that resembles the one below:

How to Use Netflix Codes on Phone, Tablet, and TV

While all that is well and good, not all of us watch Netflix exclusively on a laptop, right? So, What do you do if you want to browse a genre on the Netflix app on your Smart TV, iPhone, iPad, Android device, PS4, or Xbox One? It’s simple. You will have to manually enter the genre name on the app, not the code that’s assigned to it.

For example, let’s say I want to check out the genre “Comic Book and Superhero Movies”. Since I cannot use the genre code on the Netflix app, you’ll have to do it using these steps:

1. Launch the Netflix app and tap on the search button. In the search box, start typing the genre you’re looking for. Instead of using the codes listed above, you will have to type the name of the genre from the list. In this instance, I’m searching for “Comic book and superhero”.

2. In the results that pop up, scroll down to the “Explore Titles Related To” section. Here, tap on the exact genre you were looking for. That’s it, the search results will show up the movies in that specific genre.
