LinkedIn’s Next Game Will Be Another Logic Puzzle But with Math, Thomas Snyder Reveals

We have exciting news for networkers who like to play LinkedIn Games between adding connections and sending emails. Your daily LinkedIn games routine might see a new addition soon.

At the World Sudoku and Puzzle Championship 2026 in Kolkata, India, we asked Thomas Snyder, LinkedIn Games’ Principal Puzzle Master, to tease the next puzzle the team is working on. While he kept the name under wraps, Thomas did reveal something exciting.

Next LinkedIn Game Will Likely Be a Logic Game with Numbers

As Snyder revealed in an interview with Beebom at WPC 2026, the next LinkedIn game will likely be a logic game, and it’s meant to fill a gap. It will be a kind of puzzle that LinkedIn doesn’t offer yet, and that is what Thomas and his team are working on.

“We are probably, for our next game, gonna have another logic game… There is an area of games which we don’t really have… a game that does (that),“ Snyder told Beebom’s Rishabh Sabarwal.

He further added that many puzzlers mistake Sudoku for a maths game. But it’s not. Sudoku is yet another logic game that involves numbers, which fits perfectly with LinkedIn’s puzzle approach. It already has Mini Sudoku, so the next game will be different.

“Sudoku uses numbers; it does not use arithmetic or ideas like that,” Snyder mentioned. “So, we are playing in a space of games which may have you thinking a little bit about how numbers come together.” “Mathematics!” he added with a smile on his face.

LinkedIn’s next game will likely see players think ‘a little bit about how numbers come together.’

Now, let’s decipher that. Snyder was careful not to call it a math game, but he did say out loud the word mathematics. This hints at the new LinkedIn game involving arithmetic, possibly similar to NYT Pips that includes sum, total, equals, and more. Thomas didn’t elaborate further.

Since Patches already covers spatial reasoning, Mini Sudoku covers observation and deduction, and Pinpoint covers lateral thinking, this new game has to light up a different part of your brain. This fits the team’s rule of not having two games test the same skills.

If you’re wondering when the next game will land, we don’t have the answer to that for now. In the meantime, you can explore the existing LinkedIn Games and see what suits your fancy.

There May Be Something Else in Store As Well

Numbers aren’t the only thing on the team’s mind. Snyder said visual games are something they can consider, and he’s also interested in what happens “when we eventually get people playing together as opposed to just comparing scores afterwards.”

Right now, you finish your puzzle, check your time, and compare it with a colleague online. Playing together could turn that two-minute break into a shared moment.

Snyder said that being at LinkedIn means that the team can brainstorm more actively and ask what’s technically possible, or where they can “dream big.” That’s one of the company’s values, he added, and it shows up across the games team all the time.

So, there’s no name, no format, and no launch date yet! But a fresh logic puzzle with numbers in the mix, plus visual and shared play on the horizon, is plenty to look forward to.
