The holiday season has already started in 2025, which means it’s time for the Pokemon GO Winter event. Just like in previous years, this year’s Winter event will be divided into many parts. Pokemon GO Winter Holiday Part 1 is here, and it brings plenty of exciting new features and Ice-type Pokemon to the game.
Players can take part in the event and take advantage of various bonuses, catch some cool Christmas-themed costume Pokemon, hunt those rare shinies, and stock up on resources. With that said, here’s all the information about the Pokemon GO Winter Holiday Part 1 event.
Pokemon GO Winter Holiday Part 1 Date and Time
The Winter Holiday Part 1 event in Pokemon GO was released on Thursday, December 18, 2025, and will be available for a week. We have listed the start and the end times below.
- Start Date and Time: Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 10 AM local time
- End Date and Time: Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at 10 AM local time
Once the event ends, you will no longer be able to take part and obtain the rewards.
Winter Holiday Part 1 Event Bonuses
The Event Bonus for the Pokemon GO Winter Holiday Part 1 is themed on hatching costumed Pokemon from eggs. The odds of hatching a Shiny Pichu wearing a festive hat and a Shiny Cubchoo wearing a holiday ribbon from 7 km Eggs have been increased. You can get 7km eggs by opening the gifts sent by your Pokemon GO friends.
There are some additional bonuses based on the Winter Holiday GO Pass. Here’s a table with all the details:

New Pokemon Debut
During the Winter Holiday Part 1 event, you can encounter a Winter Attire Sudowoodo and a Winter Attire Charjabug. Both of them were already available in the game, but a new costume has been added for them in this event. If you are lucky, there’s a high chance you can encouter a Shiny Winter Attire Sudowoodo and a Shiny Winter Attire Charjabug in the wild.
Aditionally, make sure that you evolve your Winter Attire Charjabug into Winter Attire Vikavolt using 100 Grubin candy. However, it can only be done when you are near an active Magnetic Lure Module.

All Raid Bosses in the Winter Holiday Part 1 Event
Three new three-star raid bosses have been added to the current Pokemon GO raid schedule. They are as follows:

Winter Holiday 2025 Pokemon GO Pass is now available from December 18, at 10 AM to December 29, 2025, at 8 PM local time. You can purchase it from the in-game shop or the official Pokémon GO Web Store.
Players who upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe: Winter Holiday 2025 or GO Pass Deluxe: Winter Holiday 2025 + 10 Ranks on the Pokemon GO Web Store will receive 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, one Premium Battle Pass, and five Max Potions as a gift with purchase.
