Microsoft had started the closed beta program for Minecraft Earth a couple of months back. Back then, the beta testing was available only for iOS devices. Now, the company has started accepting sign-up requests from Android users as well.

In case you’re not aware of, Minecraft Earth is an upcoming AR game for Android and iOS that will let you go out in the real world and build with your friends. If you’re a fan of Minecraft, this mobile version will not disappoint you for sure.

Before you sign up, make sure you have an AR supported smartphone running Android Nougat (7.0) or above for running the game. As with all other games, the game will perform better if you have decent specifications.

You can sign up for Minecraft Earth for Android and iOS right now from here. You will need a Microsoft Account to sign up. The best part of the signup process is that it lets you authenticate with Windows Hello if you’re performing the signup in a device that supports Windows Hello. I was able to seamlessly sign up by using fingerprint on my laptop.

Being an early bird has its own perks too. Signing up for beta access will give you free skin for Minecraft Earth and Minecraft Bedrock. If you get selected, you should be getting access to the beta version of the game starting next week.

Since this is going to be a beta version, don’t keep your expectations too high regarding the features. With time, Microsoft will be implementing more features to improve the experience of gamers.

So, are you excited to build and explore a world full of blocks? Let us know in the comments.
