When Intel launched its chipset for smartphones to compete with ARM based architectures, only a few companies showed interest in making Intel chipset based smart phones, the earlier processor running on Intel architecture were not fast enough to keep up the pace with blooming ARM architecture based dual core and quad-core chipsets.
When Lenovo came up with its flagship device running on Intel based dual processor, it didn’t draw everyone’s attention because dual core processor were not expected to compete against the advanced quad-core S4 snapdragon or exynos chipsets. But intel and Lenovo have done a fine job in making K900 smartphone, a rival of top class flagship devices like Samsung galaxy S4.
It is unbelievable to see that Samsung Galaxy S4 which runs on quad-core/octa core processor lags behind K900 which runs on 2 GHz dual core Intel processor in AnTuTu benchmark.
What is even more compelling about the device is the price at which Lenovo will launch K900, the handset will launch in mid range series, price of which is about 200 USD less than the price of fully unlocked version of the Galaxy S4. But initially, the handset will be in China and selected markets including India.
