Instagram Now Lets You Add Music To Stories

Instagram recently began testing a music overlay feature that would allow users to add music to their Stories. And now it’s finally here; you can add a song of your choice to Stories in the form of music stickers.

You will now see a new music sticker in the stickers section while adding one to a photo or video in Stories. In order to add a song to your Stories, just tap on the music sticker and it will open a huge library of tracks from where you can select the perfect song to go with your Stories.

If you are having trouble finding a particular song, you can search for tunes, or choose music based on the genre, mood or opt for the most popular tracks. You can also listen to the song you’ve picked and choose the exact portion you want to use for the Story.

You can also select the track before you start capturing a video for Stories. In order to do so, just open the Instagram camera and swipe right to the newly added ‘Music’ option below the record button, and then tap on the tune icon to get the same options as above.

And to spare your friends the hassle of finding out which song you have picked, the music sticker will show the song title and artist name. However, the music sticker feature is only available to Android and iOS users in a few countries including the United States. Moreover, the ability to select a song prior to recording a video for Stories is limited to iOS platform in those regions, and will soon arrive on Android too.
