What are Story View Notifications on Snapchat?
Story view notifications is a brand-new Snapchat feature, exclusive to Snapchat Plus subscribers. As the name reveals, enabling it will see the app sends you notifications whenever someone views your Snapchat Story. You just have to pick the person for whom you want to be notified. So the next time you share a story on Snapchat, you’ll receive an alert when the selected individual sees it.
Get Notifications When Someone Views Your Story
Now that we have discussed briefly about the feature, it’s time I show you how it works and how to set it up. Take a look at the steps below.
- On Snapchat, tap on your profile icon at the top left.
- Inside your profile, tap on the Snapchat+ banner.
- Here, scroll down and select Story view notifications.
- Choose a friend for whom you want to enable story view notifications. You can only select one person at a time.
- Once done, tap on OK on the confirmation prompt.
In case, you want to keep things mysterious, you can turn on the Make private toggle. This won’t show the name of the person who views your story.
Well, I have to give it to the folks at Snapchat for understanding the constant surge of curiosity that youngsters have and implementing features based on that. While I hope this feature comes to every Snapchat user, it’s exclusive to Snapchat Plus for now.
