- Find out how bad your streaming music is an AI tool that judges your listening habits.
- You need to connect your Spotify or Apple Music account to use the tool.
- It will go through your musical preference and roast you based on it.
Everyone’s musical journey is unique, and that reflects on the songs we listen to and the playlists we create. That’s one reason we wait for the Spotify Wrapped to find out how we did this past year. But if you want to humble the narcissist within you, and find out that your obscure taste in music is pretty mainstream, or how your song choice is actually quite cheesy, then this tool will do the trick.
Meet “How Bad is Your Streaming Music”, an AI tool that goes through your Spotify listening habits, and roasts you based on them. It showers you with a barrage of snarky remarks and sarcastic puns. So if you feel that you’ll come out of this unscathed, then you’re surely mistaken. So let’s dive in and find out how bad is your Spotify.
Ready to Get Your Spotify Music Judged? Here’s How to Get Your Roast
Before we jump in, let’s get some context on it. It is a project by Pudding, trained by Matt Lacher and Matt Daniels. The tool in question is free to use, and unlike a certain Wrapped, you don’t need to wait a year to use it.
It will ask you to connect your Spotify or Apple Music accounts and follow up with a few questions. Once done, it’ll score your song preference and give you a reality check. And a gentle warning… it doesn’t hesitate to drop a few f-bombs. So if you’ve made up your mind, let’s look at how to get your Spotify judged by an AI.
- Head over to the How Bad Is Your Streaming Music? (website) on your web browser.
- Click on the Find Out button as shown below.
- Now click on either Log in with Spotify or Log in with Apple Music.
After granting access to your account, the AI will go through your data, and insults will start coming your way. There’s no escaping now, so better to buckle up your seat belts and enjoy this truthful ride.
So How Bad Was My Streaming Music Score
This isn’t my first time using this AI tool, as I previously tried it out for a list of tools to see my Spotify Stats. That said, things have changed a bit since then and I have been jamming to a lot of gangster rap, hip-hop, and some somber tracks lately. That’s why I am hoping to get a good score from the bot this time around after the disaster that was the last time.
So I logged in with my Spotify, and the witty-toned bot welcomed me with remarks about my older listening taste as it analyzed my data. He asked whether I listened to Sabrina Carpenter, my top artist of the year, in Spotify Wrapped 2024 unironically. Followed by a judgmental question about my love for Pritam and his sappy songs.
Then it dropped a F@#k, Marry, and Kill game out of nowhere and I guess it didn’t like me picking Marry for Pritam as it only replied with the word “Gross”. This got a few playful chuckles out of me.
But with this out of the way, it was time for the final score. Here’s what I got: Your Spotify was ponytail-pop-Albanian-pop-agenda-stop-getting-all-your-music-from-tiktok-bad.
According to the AI tool, I’m 25% basic, which is good… right? And “too trendy for my own good”. I mean, I’m just trying to gel with the Gen Z kids, so give me a break.
Try it Out if You Haven’t Already
In the end, the results were more or less similar to what I got previously. That makes me think that it creates an answer over a long period of listening data similar to Spotify Wrapped then just a mere month. I do wish there was an option to tweak this, so I could run away from my embarrassing phase that was last year.
That said, it is a pretty fun tool that you and your friends can try out and get a few laughs out of it. It’s just like some of the other Spotify tools we have seen before, like the Spotify bedroom trend. But at least this one has got a sense of humor. But I wouldn’t recommend trying it with those who have a short fuse or take their songs too seriously. Unless, of course, you want to get on their bad side.
