HOTD Season 2 Episode 2 begins with the search for Blood and Cheese as they commit the crime of murdering Prince Jahaerys Targaryen. Blood gets caught, and after he hints toward Daemon’s involvement in the crime, Aegon smashes his head with a bat. On the other hand, Otto tells Alicent that they should host a rally throughout the kingdom to let people know how ruthless Rhaenyra is, as he wants to use this incident against her.

At Dragonstone, we see Rhaenyra realizing that Daemon must be behind all this. So, she has a heated conversation with her uncle-husband. Ser Criston Cole questions Ser Arryk’s loyalty to the Greens and sends him to kill Rhaenyra, guising him as his twin brother.

Aegon hangs every rat catcher, including Cheese, for the people of the kingdom to see. When Otto confronts Aegon regarding this, he loses his position and sees Ser Criston Cole becoming the new hand of the king.

Ser Arryk enters Rhaenyra’s chamber to kill her, but before he can commit the crime, Erryk shows up. After sparring with their swords for extremely long, both the brothers succumb to death. Now that an assassination attempt has been made on Rhaenyra’s life, it would be interesting to see how the Targaryen Queen will respond to all this.
